Since were on Gear Diff topic, im in the process of rebuilding mine. How tight should the gear diff screws be? Theyre really small so not sure. Ive always used black grease, wont oil leak out?

I have not tried lower then 5000 but I cant imagine wanting it any thinner.

I have a HW 10.5 combo and it can drift down the front straight at full tilt if I went even thinner I would be sitting doing doughnuts the entire race.

No as long as your outdrive seals and gear diff seals are in good condition it should not leak.

You can tighten the diff screws pretty tight. I have not had a problem over tightening. I use black grease on O rings and 5K diff fluid. Also used a little silicone.......rbv I believe it is called........... on the diff gasket.

Need some setup help for blinky. In mod I run 3oz in the battery foam,balast weight,1/4 in rear triangles,and 1/2 under the servo arm. I would imagine the lighter the truck the faster it will be for blinky. What weight setups are best for blinky?

When I ran Blinky 13.5 I remove 2oz in the battery tray and the 1/2 up front. Remove some weight and try it for a few minutes to see how it handles. Then you can try more till it doesn't drive like you like it or add more back.

Also, play around with the battery location if you're pushing or running loose after you remove the weights.

Sc10 in blinky is being dominated by kyosho's at my local track, the other guys say you can drive the hell out of a K and it's stable.

I personal like to keep all my weight in the mid line of the chassis. The only weight that is not on the mid line is a small wieght I put next to the receiver to maintain 50/50 side to side wieght distribution.

Question on tire choice.

My local track is hard packed dirt/clay but usually has a thin/medium cover of soft fine dirt/clay which is swept before a race but is back within a lap.

What would be a good tire choice? I was running Subcultures on the JConcepts +3mm Hazard rims all round but they absolutely sucked. A mate gave me a set of worn ProLine Snipers and even with barely any tread they had so much more grip.

Is there anything else that would be more suited then ProLine Snipers?

Should I go Snipers at all 4 corners? Or should I leave SubCultures on the front and go Snipers on the rear?

Snipers are good for that surface. You can also run Proline Tazers or AKÁ gridirons.
You can run them front and back. I will depend on how you want to run. I prefer a well use gridiron on the front since my truck has so much steering already.
