So I'm looking for some other suggestions on ESC's that I might be able to get in the $100 - 150 range. If I have to go to a RS Pro or a Venom to run the Revtech, I will. Just don't want to shell it out if I don't have to.

Thanks guys.
Dualsky xc500mj perfect fit for the b4.1 and need no fan and almost the same size as th tekin rs. Get the esc and programer for may a little over a 100.00 dollars.I switch from tekin to dualsky and i like my dualsky just as much as my tekin rs.Ill post pics of the install on my b4.

No doubt, this is a top notch ESC in terms of smoothness. Let me know your results as well

I'll let you know, just ordered one to replace the RX8 in my SCTE. That wonderful RX8 smoked two batteries last week. If it's better, than I'll let everyone know.

A few guys at my local track tried the Viper stuff and it seemed pretty good only when paired with a Viper motor. Using any other motor they were running way too hot and frying out. Just an FYI

Default gearing suggestions

I'll soon be running my B4.1 buggy. Using the Viper vxt 10 w/13.5t motor. Indoor red clay track that is VERY technical. Lots of twists, turns, whoops, and jumps. Longest straight away is prolly less than 50 ft. Dimensions are 90'x50' with a claimed track distance of ~480'.
What would be a good spur/pinion range for me to start? All help is appreciated as I'm a nooB racer and in particular to 2wd buggy.

I run 75/33 and it's great on my technical track. Motor and esc never get over 160. I run the same viper combo

Hey guys just wondering about weight. People talk about the lipo weights, my lipos are Nano tech's and they don't seem to be light at all, don't think I need any weight in the rear. Someone suggested last night that I need weight in the front. My question is how exactly do you decide when you need to add weight?
