B44.1 Thread

Ok, so no response to my last post, so let me ask this. Should the front be noticeably less dmpened than the rear of the buggy, since I have no idea what pistons are in the front stock v2 shocks and the rear powerstroke shocks? I have 35wt losi in the front and it feels real soft while the rear has 250cst oil i it and it feels much more dampened. What do you guys think or know ????????

No the front shocks should feel about the same as the rear and pretty balanced overall (front & back). You could always just check if those ProLine rear shocks would accept the standard AE pistons in them and purchase them. You really really want to know the answers to any suspension setup questions regarding your car, so you can further dial it in more as needed.
I hope your car turns out to be ok; I'd be weary that you didn't get the AE v2 rear shocks and that there was grass clippings throughout the car

the proline shocks are a larger diamiter bore than the stockers.... I guess if anyting I can drill them out since I have a an assortment of metric drill bits. as for the car, I did a rebuild to check everything out, the diffs and the ring nd pinion gears looked to be in perfect shape, and the balls and ring were in almost in new shape. It doesnt even have a single scratch on the shock towers, the chassis protector, body, wing or even the bumper, heck the motor doesnt even have a scratch.
Ok, so how about this, how far of a drop (bench test) should it take to bottom out?

Thanks again, I think I have the shocks pretty close, but I will see soon when it takes its maiden voyage this afternoon.
I aslo wanted to comment the quality of the b44.1, it is top notch, the plastic, screws and carbon fibre seem to be made in a different place than some of the other associated rc's that i have owned, and not that they have been bad either, but this is one of the nicest, well thought out, easy to work on, no nonsense no compramise to racing rc's that i have everput my hands on. Bravo AE

I can tell you that I run a 6.5 in my B44.1, and I run the 81 spur with a 19 pinion. You could probably start at a 21 pinion and go from there. Be sure to check with a temp gun after running for 5 minutes.

just want to see if i can get the 10.5 to keep up with some of the guys that are using 8.5. most of my racing has been on road and not sure if my esc settings will be any good off road may produce higher motor temps. and not sure the car can handle a 4.5 got no motors in between atm but im sure the 10.5 with some boost can keep up.
