SC10 4x4 Thread
550 vs 540 4 pole = 540 4 pole
550 4 pole vs 540 4 pole = 550 4 pole
Only downside (if you race and your track cares) with a 550 4pole is that it is not roar legal last time I checked...........
On that note, I'm just itching to get back to the track, due to working almost a month straight I haven't been in awhile and I really want to try my new setup with the help of Marcus and a few others........ Hopefully I'll be able to try out my V2 center diff again and not have any problems (my fault for wrong installation most likely) with it...........
550 vs regular 540 = 550 better

Just yesterday...
Had a guy that was using the 4 pole try my ride with the REEDY 4.5 Sonic 550...
After ?
went right back into the hobby shop and brought one for himself ...
I've tried lots of different motors:
540's:
Castle 3800kv and 2400kv 4poles
Tekin SC4X 4.5 and 5.5
Trinity 4.5
Tacon 6.5
Tekin 4000kv and 4600kv 4poles
550's:
Toro's 4000kv and 4600kv 4poles
And no I did not buy/own all of those, some were friends or what local guys had at the track. In the end I stuck with my Tekin 4600kv, the 550 toro had gobs and gobs of power but very bad cogging on initial throttle. The only other motor I would replace my tekin with is a tenshock 550 4pole sensored or the one I really want is when Trinity comes out with their new Revtech 550 sensored 4poles............
EHHH I'm more then happy with my 540 4pole......

i agree.. the tekin 4 pole is very smooth and doesnt cog under a lot of stress/power.. until my speed control decides not turn on anymore... i love lrp.
How often do you go to OCRC? I plan on making it there and WCRC within the next week or two. What's a good day to go to OCRC to practice where its not to busy?

today and tomorrow are the best days to go
.. since its summer now its hard to say.. but i know wcrc is closed today so it might be kinda busy.. but their new layout looks dialed! sunday is a good day to come race.. the pro4 class is solid!
I'd look into the promatchracing saddle packs, they offer a great warranty and are cheaper then the venom's....... I own both nano-techs and promatch and they are great lipo's for the price.
Only issue I see is runtime, you should be good with a 5-7+min race but going up to 10+ mins maybe an issue. Hmm any chance you'd be interested in selling those nano's now lol
