Default Bearings

Check the link for sweet bearing kits by Boca Bearings for the SC10 4x4 smoother roll means less friction and equals reduced heat and faster lap times!!!

quick question...I have the "Mac the Knife" clutch basket installed and think it works great. Is there any difference/advantage to the new VTS Slipper Conversion from AE in comparison?

No. Functionally they are exactly the same. They even weigh the same as an assembly, to the gram.

You can't use the MTK basket on a 2w. The vts is an awesome upgrade there.

Thank you.

Also, can you tell me, or direct me to some info on the "pinned top shaft"? I don't have that Mod yet. Oh, and also any info on shock improvements? I got some $ in my piggy bank and want to juice up my SC10 4X4 this month.. Thanks

For pinned shaft, you will need new design rear topshaft and AE coupled inner slipper hub. New Exotek inner drive hub seems to be a better choice though according to what I have seen.

You have some options.

The FT top shaft has been changed, and you can buy a slipper plate from AE that will get it done.

Exotec makes a locked plate that replaces the front slipper plate and inner slipper pad, yet let's you retain the slipper for the rear. I have one, it's on, but I haven't run in a month.

Here is the link to the exotek inner slipper hub:

http://www.exotekracing.com/sc10-4x4...-front-clutch/

It replaces the inner stock hub as well as the inner stock slipper pad and locks the front. I've had mine for awhile now and to me its one of the best mods (yeah I admit I was skeptical at first) for the sc10 and its cheap.

old top shaft

new top shaft

I am not clear on what the difference is. I am kinda confused. I have the MTK clutch basket. Would the new Top shaft help? Is the new TS pinned? Should I junk everything and get the $8 exotech clutch? Weird they call it a front clutch. Is that because it's on the outside, kinda like on the top.
