I tried that, but the boot was catching on the limiters and removing /adding limiters is more of a pain. Above the cup and under the bumper allows you to add or remove the limiters with the shocks mounted. From what I have read you want 8m TOTAL, count the boots and bumper. Calculating the thickness of the compressed boot was terrible so I just added limiters until I felt there were enough space. Which for mew was 4mm limiters + 3mm bumper and boots on front. And 2mm limiter, 3mm bumper and boots rear. Fully compress your shock and check to see if the cvd is close to hitting the drive cup. If it is, add another 1mm until you have the space you need.

I used the ones that came with the kit. The 1mm clips seemed a little unstable to me and didn't grip as well as the 2mm clips, so i didn't use any 1mm clips. I think the shaft is 4mm, at least it seemed like that when i put calipers on it. So you want to get closed off limiters get 4mm inside diameter.

I seems like 7-8 mm total limiting are what most setups use. 8mm is the generic answer.

Did you bore them out? Those are 3mm inside diameter , no?

I doubt having more than the minimum limiters needed is going to hurt anything.

Yeah , you have to drill the piston to use , can use anything almost to shim .

personally like the pistons ,use a sharpie on the pistons for a cleaner look

yes it is, but its autozone tube so its stiffer then rc fuel tube hah

most likely going to switch to washers from LHS (local hardware store lol) so i can adjust from 6mm-9mm range so i dont have to adjust with a hobby knife hah.

and i believe their nylon washers are black too

why not just use the small limiter clips that come with the kit for the shocks ?

you can. but they are clips. and clips can pop off. I just put mine on 2 nights ago, not sure if they will stay on or not.

I never lost a clip, had them on there for a good while already. They hold on tightly.

Yea, had my clips on a while and they've survived some truly noteworthy crashes.. Haven't lost one yet!
