my cousin runs a B5 with a stock 2013 pipe in his 6R and the other a 2058 with a B6 just fine..they just had to take some of the stone guard off there where it indents for the velcro strip nobody uses. no biggy..other than that it fits. It does however sit very close to the body because of this and they do get some body melting where the pipes get real close to the body. One used some heat shield tape that solved this issue...the other accepted them a battle scars lol. because of the 4 spring system the Werks pipes use, using the stock header pushes that whole connection just far enough that it touches the body on the 6R where it has that radius bart at the rear of the sidepod just infront of the rear mudguards....they just trimmed this part a bit more too to solve.
Myself, I use my O.S 2060 header drilled to fit my 2058. the O.S pipes are mugen friendly and i didnt want to get another header since I got the 2058 on its own without a header. fits perfectly with about 5mm to spare between the pipe and the side guard

Default Header

This is my favorite header in the Mugen. It makes slightly more power on my novas than the compact round headers and fits perfectly.

I run the A852, A872, and the 2081 pipe. Everything fits really nice in there with the exception of the manifold. It can be tucked inside the stone guard, but it will rub there and on the body. I did not like this so i went to the Nova 41030 and 41029 manifolds. I was also afraid of taking a hit on that side of the car and it breaking something. I know it can still happen but there is just a bit more play room there now.

I like the feel of the Losi 4 shoe clutch and the ease of maintenance. I use the Losi clutch and clutch bell (13t with 44t spur) in this car as well.

I've never had a problem with the Losi clutch in the past, but when I used it in the MBX6R, I did happen to strip a clutch bell. Not sure if the mesh was a little off, but I will try it again. If it fails again, I guess I will be looking for another clutch.

I tried to use the Losi clutch with the 6R and when mounted on the car the bell binds with the spur I i adjusted to where it wouldn't the mesh was way to loose. I wound up getting the Ascendancy clutch set up and will never go back to a Losi clutch. http://www.amainhobbies.com/brand.ph...RC-Cars-Trucks

Anyone else find this to be a problem using a Losi clutch bell in the MBX6?

If so, I will use a different clutch and clutch bell and not risk damaging my clutch bell and/or spur gear again.

Default 6r U.S Wheel hex Set Screw

I'm building my first 6r U.S and I ran into an issue. My set screw will not fit in my wheel hub/hex. It came with a 5x5 set screw.

Anyone got the part # for the correct set screw.

Thanks

Steven

I read a few pages back that the correct set screws are in the kit, just i another bag somewhere. Just look through all your parts for them.

I look and look and can't find it. I google it and saw a video showing a piece of paper label parts bag G with the correct screws staple to it. Maybe I just got unlucky and mugen forgot to put it in. Idk

Anyways, if I can find the part# or size I'll just pick one up at my local hs or contact mugen on Monday.

I'm thinking it's a 4x4 set screw cause the the one I got is a 5x5 and it's to big.

Ur talking about the hub carrier light weight grub screw to hold the hex pin? It's a normal 2.0 metric grub screw. If I'm not mistakin u can't just buy the screw U will need the whole kit and even then idk if there included since its a option part... Sorry to hear if it was just the normal 2.5 size I had plenty I would just give you. But the light weights use smaller screw size.

It's the tiny set screw that holds the wheel hex pin to the axle. It screws into the pin that goes the both the wheel hex and the axle.

Such a small screw is causing me this headache lol.

Besides this little screw. Boy, I'm liking the mugen a lot. The fit and finish is awesome.
