For the money, Novak is hard to beat. You can pick up a combo for $180-$200. With the new x-drive, it's the smoothest I've felt. I prefer it over more costly ones. They also have great customer service.

People have new tekins rs on here for 115$ then find yourself A good used motor for 50 bucks a d your good to go
Kyosho makes the orange O-rings which will last longer and feel really good. And the clear ones which will feel super smooth, but will not last as long. I like them both, but orange a little more.
