No.
They are both 5000mah 1 cell and are wired in series.

No as they are in series.
Each one is a 3.7V 5000mah so when wired in series you get 7.4V 5000mah.
If they were wired in parallel then it would be 3.7V 10000mah in which case you would get more run-time.

No problem, batteries and electronics are the only things I know well enough to be able to explain.

Now we are starting to see people go with dual shorty lipos though so that is a different case. Each of them would be 4000mah 2s packs wired in parallel so you would have the equivalent of a single 8000mah 2s pack.

Its important to realize that the current output depends on if the packs are wired in series or parallel also. Wired in series the capacity does not change so a 5000mah pair of 50c saddles would have a constant rating of 250A vs a pair of shorty 4000mah 50c lipos wired in parallel would have a constant rating of 400A. Basically you could get away will a lower C rated pair of 2s packs wired in parallel vs. 1s packs wired in series...Of course lower C rated packs could lead to more issues down the line. Also whatever connectors you are using would probably melt before you pulled 400A constant but that is probably obvious.

Just wondering, because i am doing the same...

I have been using the White front springs in the rear , but after putting on the Exotek chassis,
I am going to go with the (Green front springs on rear)...
I believe that is what a lot of people are doing?, correct?
or are people going with the blue/yellow front in the rear with the Exotek? I forgot...

stiffer spring lands & jumps a little better , rolls less in the sweeper ,
less overall traction compared to using a softer spring
I am on a tight indoor med grip track, & the white F springs,
on the rear, was working great...

I am putting the Exotek chassis in, with a bunch of FT upgrades,
What Front Springs was it that people were suggesting with
the Exotek?
Green Front? 3.50 rate
Or was it Blue Front? 4.30rate

I believe Green which is a 3.50 Spring rate? but i forgot??

For those asking what to use to hold down for dual 2s shorty pack I would suggest rcshox battery strap for the exotech chassis"will work with stock chassis with some drilling".
mods on my truck are:
exotech chassis
8mm hub mod
rc8.2 buggy spring mod
dual 2s shorty packs
.5 deg rear hubs
and soon v2 center ball diff

Thumbs up Shocks

I received the TSR SC10 4x Dampening/Upgrade Shock kit &
here is the breakdown, of what comes with it...
I threw a pack o the Trackstar o-rings in the right side of the
picture, because the o-rings that come with the kit are very close to the
same thing, except slightly bigger in diameter.(FYI)
I am going to stay with the Trackstar O-rings,
and i am not going to use the rubber bumpers in the middle bag.
Soft and Super Soft foams/ Orange & Black bladders.
Exactly the bladders that I wanted, so much better quality then stock.

I did not have the FT upgrades yet, so this was perfect for me...
We were discussing the upgraded bladders a few pages back,
so here you guys go.....

I am doing a bunch of ugrades, this kit looks great, $92 total.
(not including trackstart o-rings,of course)

easy, I am running the exotek in my truck on what sounds like a similar track. I am running a FT with a modefied Numandal S/U.

I went with the yellow springs front and rear and 40/35 losi shock oil. It helped the truck with traction rolling in the sweepers. The only thing i didn't with the heavier oils is that it made the suspension feel a bit lazy. I have adapted to the feel now and am going fast.

Not sure if this heavier oil will work with the pistons that you got there.

I would stick with the whites... I like that in mine with the exotek (same kind of track). If anything you would need to go to the blues for a heavier chassis.

http://www.tsrproducts.com/index.php...010105-ft.html

The Black Bladders seem just slightly thicker then the Stock bladders,
but definitely better quality....The Orange are much thicker, with the slots under to fit the foam, I am starting with the black bladders..

These Ofna bladders are similar...
http://www.amainhobbies.com/product_...ock-Bladders-4

I will probably pick up a pack of ofna's as extras, but no foams,
with this pack...
THX will review after rebuild & drive!!
