same here. Thinking the promatchracing is probly worth the piece of mind of the warranty though after seeing all these 4s batteries with bad internal connections

I have fixed mines. I opened the box and put 2 layers double side tape in each corner of the lipo. It worked very well. I had no problem at all. You guys can check in facebook=Gens Ace Batteries or Bobby Gens Ace for any questions about the Batteries. I know they are working on it.

Yeah I would not go with a GensAce, the warranty sucks. I would also tay away from the 4s hardcase pack that everyone wants. The cells move inside the case. I had the positive tab on the cell break off on me in a race and the buggy stopped. After checking things out the pos wire pulled right out of the case. I didn't run the pack until after the 1 month warranty. I contacted hobbypartz and they basically said I was screwed.

I tried to solder the wire on but the aluminum tab coming out of the cell does not take well to solder. And with only less than 1/8 inch of tab I do not want to put to much heat into it. So I have a $66 paper weight.

I would not recommend the 4 cell to anyone.

I made mine into a 3 cell after the tab pulled off. I won't be buying any more 4 cells from gens ace

I've bought three 2S 40C Hardcase Gens Ace packs from Hobbypartz. All three puffed, two required venting the uncatalyzed gas from both cells and resealing.

I won't be buying any more Gens Ace packs.

...and that's what I don't understand. They should should buy tons of them so they are rarely out of stock. The demand is there to justify the capital spent.

Default No more Gens Ace for me

I purchased some 40c 5000 mah 2s batteries about 6 months ago. 1 lost a cell and the other puffed within 60 days. I decided to give them another try and purchased 4 50c 5000 mah 2s batteries. About 10 days past the warranty one of these lost a cell. I always charge slowly and have been doing this awhile, so battery abuse is not a issue.
I AM DONE WITH GENS ACE!

When the nano-tech's come back in stock (USA warehouse) you should def. try them out, I've had two of them for 8months and the are still working just as good as if they were new.......
