I've got a DEX210 (my first entry into the buggy world) and would like some battery advice. I haven't had the chance to get it to the track yet but I've been messing around at home with my 5000/40c packs that I use for my 4wd SCT. I'm wondering if I should get something a little smaller to cut back on the weight of the battery? Would saddle packs be better? Wish GensAce made shorties

I've had both styles of lipo's, with leads and without. Will never own another lipo of any brand that has leads. They are not braced on the inside enough to keep the tabs from breaking off. Any wire movement will lead to tab breakage sooner or later.
The worst that I've seen are the green venom lipo's, the cells slid around in the plastic case.

www.hobbypartz.com has several popular batteries in stock right now and they've even had them for a while. It's like they finally got the message and started carrying enough stock. Either that or they are selling much slower since they jacked their prices up.
