Not sure what you mean by endbell ?

If you dont have the Electri Clutch adapter you will need it and springs to run the Tekno clutch bell .

what do you feel are minimum requirements for the specs on the mechanical brake servo like torque and speed.

.15 or faster, 150oz or more. You can do it with less, but this is a good place to start.

I don't think we're going to make it to that one. We'll be at JBRL Nitro Rnd #3 and the SDRC Shootout race the following weekend though. The new car will be competing at both events if you want to stop by and check it out. Thanks.

Just pre-ordered mine on the Tekno site, really looking forward to it as it will be my first buggy. Thinking a MMP and a Tekin 1900kv with a Elektri-Clutch System. What size of pinion should I be looking at? This will be running in the Middle east with nice cool winters but very hot summers.

Nice work man! Really impressive drivers on that podium All of them

Do you have any recommendation of gears for the EB48 with a rx8/t8 1900kv combo? (European track style, fast and not many bump, 4s lipo)

I'm thinking of a 19 pinion

based on this info:

Diffs are 10/40 (4:1). The spur is 44t.
And using this calculator here:

http://scriptasylum.com/rc_speed/top_speed.html

If you already have a 1/8 electric you should be able to put in your current vehicle info, figure out the current estimated top speed, and then find what you need.

Me personally the tracks out here like speeds all the way up to 40mph+ .

I am thinking (assuming I go with a clutch bell setup) a Tekin 2050 motor (which on the calculator rates at 2120Kv) would give me what I need and still use clutch bells that are easy to find like from Tekno (they go up to 18T), or, my long shanks.

Now, probably doesn't matter though if you are going to use regular mod1 pinions.

When I ran nitro, I'd use ~100oz and as fast as possible. I think you can get away with even less torque with an E-buggy because there is no fuel/oil to foul the brakes.

thanks for the info. Right now, trying to decide which servo to keep here and if I want to try the mechanical brake thing again. I usually don't use brakes much, if at all.

Speaking of which, are we correct in assuming the new buggy will include all the hardware needed to run mechanical brakes?

Blair's setup, as has already been mentioned, is a 1/10 ShortCourse Castle setup.

I'd like to know what was in the buggy that just won though, for comparison sake.

Anyone think a 1700 tekin t8 would be to much for this buggy? As I've already got that motor for another project?
