I've been running the FlowTek bodies and really like them. My current one is the Chevy Silverado and it's holding up very well. Thicker than the stock bodies but not too heavy. Nice low profile with good venting depending on how much cutting you want to do. I use 2oz fiberglass tape and shoegoo to reinforce critical areas before I run it. Keep the shoegoo thin and it stays light. Staying clear of Losi's by driving around them helps the body last longer too

dan,
If you use a thing layer of shoe gu and then a layer of drywall tap then another thin
layer of shoe gu over that, it will be the last place that body will break

Could be wrong though.

When I took me red Traxxazz brace off & replaced with the Ae version it was still in good condition .

So I gave to a racer who had a boy who needed a brace & could not afford a new brace....

The Ae brace is so much better than the knit needle, ect .
Rod it self is super light & stiff.

The new rear tower mount makes for the stiffest chassis I have ever seen with virtually no belt deflection at all ...

Kudo's to Ae , they out did everyone with their brace design....

Dry wall tape is just a heavy version of fiberglass tape and it does work. However I've found 1 or 2 layers of a finer weave are much stronger and lighter than 1 layer of a heavy weave. Been glassing RC Giant scale warbirds for years and 2 layers of properly layed 3/4oz glass will have more strength than 1 layer of 1.5oz glass. Problem is shoogoo just isn't as thin as epoxy so building more than 2 layers gets too heavy for me. It's the glass cloth that gives the majority of the strength not the adhesive. Laying it bi-directional also makes it much stronger.

No. They copied what others have done and put their own spin on it. Same thing with the clutch basket. Not saying it's wrong but I won't give them credit for others hard work. Credit where credit is do

They copied me yeah know ?

I am the one who told you guys about a chassis brace and the first to use one on this thread ...

BTW
Like the chassis brace Ae has made ?
The new Ae V2 slipper is the same story...

Its build & performance is also much more betta than those other parts that you say Ae copied...

i think you will find the chassis brace was first done by vegitron75 or what ever his screen name is shortly after the truck came out. people like tbird junkie called it a bandaid. i've seen both of the AE parts and they are not better than what others have made before. just slightly different so they call it theirs.

absolutely nothing except it says FT on it!! Its basically made so the team guys dont have to use aftermarket parts and can win with a "stock" truck. nothing wrong with that but it is what it is. After seeing how Cody and Steve manhandled their trucks this past weekend i can safely say that on anything except blown out huge tracks the SC10 is a beast. The losi's were not agile enough to hang with the SC10's or the few durangos that were there. I kept spitting out spur gears on my AE so switched to the Rango for the rest of the weekend I qualified 3rd in the pre race with the AE with absolutely no changes in my setup. I wish i could have got it dialed in but was already having issues with my 2w buggy and didnt want to fight two vehicles all weekend.
