Default rear hub mod

I have been testing this yesterday.
I have to say that this is one of my favourites modifications next to the MTK slipperclutch basket.

With this mod the rear of the truck stay much more planted throughout the whole cornering, even at high speed.

I can now do some powerslides coming up the straightaway out of an 180, I never was able to do this before, resulting in the rear end coming out of control.

It is now easier to push this truck harder and harder.

So by adding to the hub are you adding to the roll center of the truck?

Did you buy or build these? Can you share your template if you built them yourself?

It all has to do with camber gain. you will notice it right away when you push the rear down and force it a little bit to the right or left. simulating your truck in a corner.
the rear tire stays parallel to the surface, ( 0 camber ). in stock situation your rear tire goes from negative to positive camber thus losing traction .

I have no template, I have copied it from the b4.1 FT hubs. like AE copies our mods, we can copy theirs

the rise of the camber link is a whopping 9 mm

Just wanted to share some results from this past weekend. Finished building the FT kit last week.

Electronics:
Orion r10 pro
Tekin pro4 4000
11/62 gearing

I set up the truck to start with Kody's setup from the Spektrum race. Only thing I changed was the shock position on the rear arm from inside to outside and I am running bladders in the shocks not emulsion setup. I TQ'ed and finished second in the A due to a crash with a lapper . All in all it was a great race. It was a large 1/8 track that was a bit loose and dusty. Temps on the esc were 109 and 130 on the motor. Only complaint I had was the slipper (FT) is very inconsistent. I just ordered the RCShox Center diff but until I receive it, is there anything I can do to help with this?

So for the large track, you are running an 11p? I thought people were saying to run a 13-14 for large 1/8th scale tracks? I'm only asking because although my new FT kit was finished before this weekend, my new RX8 was DOA so I did not have an ESC to run it with. I currently have a 14p in it, but have not run it at all.

hey guys, still messing with this reciever that i cant seem to get to work! ok so i replaced my reciever in my sc10, used the manual to make sure everything was hooked up right, and i have done the binding process time and again but i cant seem to get it to work. when i turn the car on it makes all the normal beeping sounds except for the last two, so i get no response when pushing the throttle on the remote. somehow the truck has turned all the way on and drove 3 seperate times, but then i let it sit for a few hours and came back to run it and once again it wouldnt do the last two beeps of the start up signal. do you guys have any ideas of anything i can try to make it work?

well scratch that, not sure why it changes anything but for some reason i just adjusted the throttle trim on the remote and now it starts up every time. hopefully thats problem solved!

The neutral point may have drifted. Most ESC won't fire all the way up if it sees any throttle as a safety measure.

That is what I am currently running. I will probably bump up to a 12p but that is where I am right now with comfortable temps and the truck was plenty fast.

Just ordered the carbon fiber extenders. What happens if you use those and also shim the inner ballstud up the same amount?

Truck seems to handle really well. It seems to lack the punch that the losi 4x4. If I do not hit the jumps just right I will not clear them. The track I just ran on, Exeter Hobbies, had a couple triples that have to be cleared to be fast.

Is it stock? If so get the Clutch basket/garodisks or the Center diff.
