Ray, i was in no rush when we talked earlier when u were in vegas, and stlll not, but i gave a lil bit to get settled in and will get that .12 comin here shortly, was it pig ears or beggin strips btw?
Clint, Yes detail is everything......A pinch/resizing is NOT nearly as effective without acceptable sealing surface finishes'. I am now officially caught up, done for the week Don't see as many .12's as did when I started services in 2001, was 50% my work early on. Still do see them every week. Ship it. And Hektor vom Eichenluft loves pig ears Actually, The boy may have an addiction problem now, and damn they give him some serious gas

Rubine, Thanks for adding to my RCTECH Trader Rating. I just read it and was very pleased to hear the results fallowing services here.

Thanks guys....Keep the packages coming...we have another cold front coming thru here next week , so It will be too cold to go outside and play anyway. But spring is very close....I know the guys around here are itching for the new race season to beggin

Kind regards,

Ray

Hi Alain,
USPS calculates 6-10 business days from 3-23-12 shipping date. Your about the same distance from Greece as I am from New York City. Not much land at all, but a lot of water across the North Atlantic Ocean. I like the way all 5 sets turned out. Please look over the invoice notes, and feel free to email me with any questions. Thank You, I appreciate you racers across the pond there.
Kind regards,
Ray

Thanks Ray,

Look forward to getting the P&S back and putting new life in that old mill. Once I get it all rebroke in it'll make for a perfect practice/club race mill or a solid backup.

Default Ray handcraft - works of art IMHO

Hi guys
Wow - i was not aware of this thread. You sure are giving some detailed info regarding shipment etc. here Ray my friend

Not that i have ever had the use or more info. I have had the pleasure of beeing Rays representative here in Denmark for - hell -i think its the 4th year now. And sleeves just come back to me as clockwork. It must be more than 100 till now.

As this thread clearly shows, Ray is THE MAN when it comes to resizing nitro sleeves. It is a pleasure to get a sleeve back from Ray - not only to the wanted tolerance of course, but also if needed honed and polished.

But the main thing about Ray is, that he knows exactly what you are talking about when it comes to special problems, or specific needs for a specific engine. Let me give you a couple of examples:

The CEN GST 7.7 is a big MF. Ray would normally just give these babies a loose fit - otherwise you simply could not turn the engine around because of the sheere size of the thing. But loose fit is just a tiny bit too loose if you know what i mean. So you just tell Ray to give it just a litle bit more than loose - not as tight as medium - and then it runs like a sewing machine after normal breaking in...Nobody else to my knowledge, can do this with this sleeve.

Another example: i have had like 5 or 6 of the Novarossi Plus 4 .21 FT engines that have all lost compression from one second to another. Reaching like 140 degrees C and POW - no compression. I dont know if we have just been unlucky with a shipment of poor quality sleeves to the Danish importer - but i have heard the same story from a couple of other guys in the business, about this engine.

I explained the situation to Ray an asked him to try to do one of mine a bit more than medium. Not only did Ray do that of course, but he also moved the point at which the conical narrowing started - moved it a bit down.
I did some testing on this particular engine after Ray had done his magic - and i had it all the way up to 160 degrees C - without loosing its compression.

What i am trying to say is that Ray surely knows his stuff and i can guarantee you that i will stay a dedicate and loyal customer or a long as i can take a nitro engine apart. BTW - i am almost 55 now - so it might not be that long after all

Keep up the great work my friend - and all the best from Mikkel as well.

Thanks Ray. That was quick, look for 2 more coming soon. They dont need a pinch but they seem to run better when you pinch them!

Very funny how that works. He did a motor awhile back for me and it's on its 6th gallon after resizing with great compression still. Thats a total of 12 gallons or so (I lost track) on the same Rod, Piston and sleeve. It ran better after a pinch than it did new. Ray, thanks again. Love your service.

Finally got the XZ Speed back to race tune last night... it's faster than it has ever been.

The adjustments turned out exactly how I envisioned it would. Thanks Ray!
