She's ready to roll. If it doesn't rain, tomorrow will be the maiden voyage.

Any one know for sure if the transponder wont count under the speed control? It fits really nice under there.

You can always try it for yourself but I didn't even bother. Shoe Goo-ed it to the servo and no issues. And you can see if the transponder is getting power without having to take the tray out.

After reading the whole thread, there were too many who did have issues with not counting laps, it just wasnt really worth the risk/chance to mount it under the esc.

A better design will be when they lay the servo down, and build a shelf/protective cover for the esc on top. With these plastics, you would need ALLOT of heat to get them to start to melt.

Things are pretty tight in there. Everything is mounted as low as possible. Adding a shelf over the servo would raise one of the the heaviest components of the car.

For the transponder, I think it was originally planned for under the speedo, but even the manual shows it behind the servo. Mine stays under the speedo for now, but anything missed and it moves out.

I wonder if it is the close proximity of high powered electronics, or the aluminum plate that causes the issue.

Wow, I didnt think anything could outsteer this car. Is the car pushing or is the front end sliding?

Try a shorter steering rack.

As dtr said going to an option 2 or option 1 steering rack will give you more off power steering at the expense of some on power steering.

Option 2 is quite popular with a lot of guys.

My buggy will be here tomorrow, can't wait. Tried searching but not really finding an answer, whats the final say on an aluminum servo horn?

With its unique design, not sure how you could possibly do an aluminum one

i don't think it would be impossible. You don't have to have the captured design. Time will tell if the plastic link between the horn and steering arm will last.
