SC10 4x4 Thread
Ran at PRCR Wed and Thurs
Ran at homebase Meldrum Park Today, Friday.
I'm really happy with the Center mounted battery. The thing won't roll over anymore 'at all'. Let another fellow drive it who had a stock truck, and even though he was 'very' fast which impressed me alot, (he was a great driver) He really liked how my truck drove.
Got in 4 packs a day at PRCR with great results. I also found out if there is "enjoyable" music playing on the radio in the building, my lap times DRASTICALLY change by 2 seconds a lap.

At meldrum, running the same setup minus a tire swap, it runs fantastic. (Blown out large 1/10 track) The thing rips and I can't roll and I no matter what I do I can't get the back end to respond unintentionally.
- 100% Full FT (prior to new FT kit pieces)
- Pro 4 4000 (1 pack-12minutes= damn hot)
- MMP esc (hot'ish)
- RCSHOX Dualrate Pistons 22.5/25
- RCSHOX Center Diff V1 (v2 on it's way soon I hope)
- Center mounted Battery modification
- Stock Body: No cutouts
- Spektrum 6040 Servo
After my nightmare at the previous track layout, which I'm realizing was me needing to learn how to drive, and all the breaks in the steering issues... I'm finally back to enjoying the truck again. It sat in timeout for a while.
The FT upgrade kit is ordered and I'll be using that VTS slipper indoors if i'm not a fan of the V2 slipper. (driving style) but with how the original holds my truck on the track, I'm sure i'm going to be stoked. I think I need to go to 25/27.5 though. I truly am getting chassis slap on some silly stuff. (I taped the belly and repeated the same area over and over. It's just a fall that's kicking the weight off the backend causing some squirly)
All in all. w00t!

Only way for some to stop the 1st slipper plate to not slip was to tighten down the slipper all the way , if you adjusted the slipper properly the first plate could slip...
You can also use a thin tooth lock washer to help the first plate grip the top shaft , that helps ....

Note the difference between Phend's fast lap at 23.599 and Numedahl's fast lap at 24.331. Hartson's fast lap is a 24.539, Max Fluer's fast lap is a 24.997. They are currently 8,9,10.
Users can draw their own conclusions as to what that means, but IMO, being .7-1.4 seconds per lap off the pace is never a good thing.

This is what my rant was about yesterday. AE toped the boards in all other classes. AND its the same guys that always get the job done. Just saying.

Or something. Seven tenths is an eternity. A second and a half?
I find tunes exceptionally useful when
When I used to play poker tournaments, I always had them in, but just barely loud enough where I could hear them. If somebody who was totally obnoxious got sat next to me, I'd just crank it up where I couldn't hear them anymore. Didn't do much good if they smelled bad, but if the other opponent was attempting to put you on tilt so you could take advantage of you, it worked like a charm.
- The race announcer annoys me and I don't want to listen
- Some puke is next to me on the drivers stand sees fit to bitch the whole race at racers, turn marshals, whatever
- I find myself in a chatty mood
- Stuck next to the generator because I got to the track late and got the primo pit spot
- I need to chill for one reason or another
