Well I finished my chassis.

I take no credit whatsoever for this design.

I'm glad I did this. I was still very sour about buying saddles and this will be enough for me to keep serious but not spend any more money on packs I don't want.

White fronts in the rear and the 2wd carbon rear hub pieces made for a level jumping, slightly drifty truck on high grip indoor clay (WCRC). Not "Ryan" fast, but very drivable. Woulda liked to get more time with it, but the ESC died just into the second pack...

Default stripped spur

need help. Stripped two spur gears in two packs ?? Running hobbywing ten turn sct combo 2s indoor small 45ft x 25 indoor carpet track. only have 48 pitch was running 93/19 no problems then re geared to 93/16 and got about 3 packs stripped first gear. bought 87 locally (waiting 32pitch to come from amain) re geared to 87/17 close to old 93/19 and got about 5 mins and crunch spur gone. Did not get time to check temp but could touch motor for at least 15 secs before hurt so not super hot. Used to run rc and slots years ago so i know how mesh should be did not seem too loose had slight rock at tightest spot. Am i missing something. Are 32p gears better. How tight to run. Gearing tips pls. Not sure if stripping on power or brake seems to start on brake. Sorry for long post trying to all info.

48p isn't really meant to handle high powered brushless systems in heavy trucks. The teeth are just too small. 32p has much bigger, thicker teeth.

I have been thinking about picking up the new FT SC10 4x4 when it comes out, anyone have any set up advice/sheets/must haves for a 1/8 loose dirt track ? I want to hand my SCTE off to the boy and try this truck next summer out doors.

You might want to take the lead out of the side pockets and put some right in front of the battery on the centerline. Made a difference in the handling of mine when I went to the center mounted battery.

There is plenty of room under the belt tunnel. I have my negative wire soldered at 90deg to the top of the connector and it fits fine.

I hope that works. I really dislike saddle packs, but I do have a few good sets.

I don't actually own the truck yet, placed my pre-order and anxiously awaiting its shipment. I don't currently run saddles but out of curiousity, what don't you like about them I've been considering going to them but would like to gets drivers opinions of them. Thanks, the help is really appreciated.

If you are referring to the center stick mount it works very well. I've been running a similar setup since last fall it really improved the handling for me.

Even better than that would be to order some .062" lead sheet from Mcmaster and lay it down directly under the battery!!
