SC10 4x4 Thread
hello sc10 4x4 guys. i just traded my losi scte 4x4 for a sc10 4x4 with a member on rctech here. i will be really reading up learning about the sc10 4x4 to know more about it. i have heard it is very durable truck.
Hello,
This is awesome, I have just ordered my Sc10 4x4 from Tower Hobbies, cant wait till it arrives, have been reading for like the past hundred pages, must be so sick to race, I cant, cause I live in the UAE
but I ride Motocross so can just imagine how fun this must be.
I would like to know, is there anything specific that could be a worry on the SC10 for a somewhat beginner, it isn't my first truck, I have a Slash 4x4, but would be my first proper race truck and I would like to know if I should be weary of something in particular.
Cheers guys, have fun racing.

PRCR: Sunday, 19th of Feb.

This is me totally burning Cameron Kellogg and proceeding to lap him. /bullshit
My butt head of a buddy also included a "blooper reel". Or a "looks like a complete newb compilation" to me.

Thanks to Ryan, for bringing his kick ass Camera and gear, and taking time out from practicing himself to take them. (i'd break the Camera if I touched it.)

Cool video. Looks like after mashing the throttle for the big jump that right turn has got you on the binders quick . Track looks small but looks like a ton of fun.
PRCR is like racing down a hallway but it is the only dirt indoor track in Oregon so that we are thankful for what we have. Mastering this track makes others easy.
Now, buggy crush in 3...........2...........1...........

Upon further inspection, I noticed that the right front arm is totally tweeked. Not so much on the front side but you can really see it on the back side. Not just a little but quite a bit. This truck is only 1.5 months old and only raced/practiced twice a week. This should not be happending.

In addition, I went to the trouble to weight several other SC trucks at the track over the weekend, and I learned a couple of things. I need a couple of days to think about it before I post anything.
Yup.
- Like Cameron Said, Oregon has this indoor track, the rest are outdoor and shut down in the winter. I wasn't lying about our rain a while back, it never monsoons us, but it never let's us use the dirt outside. =P
They change the layout every 4-5 weeks. And it's always that tiny. It's why I feel like such a novice on this track over my Outdoor "3 times the size" dusty Track I can rip through. (example: Marcus' test video track is very similar)
Nope. 1/10
Yup.
Haha. No joke. Ryan took some fun images. He's going to take more this sunday. I'll post up some more, want to hit some corner shots and see some weight transfer.

We also have an outdoor one in my area but I haven't been there in awhile because of the weather.......
Ordered my center diff today, can't wait to try it out. Our track is hard packed dirt with light dust so there really isn't much traction as it is, but the layout was changed a couple weeks ago and it has been AWFUL. Loose and really hard to get any tire to hook up very well, so I just use what works best out of the tires I have and use the 3-3 block, and set everything else up the best I know how. I'm even using the 19t rear pulley. I have blue springs all around but it probably wont hurt to go a little lighter in the rear, where I have the most trouble. I have to baby the throttle to keep it from stepping out. I am hoping the center diff helps with this some also.
I'm borrowing a pro4 4k right now but as soon as the chinese new year stuff is caught up my Tenshock 411 4600 will be here. I love the excitement of knowing goodies are on the way
I switched to inline saddles before last race too, and got 16 laps on the new layout (all I have to compare is 15 laps the week before) so it may be just me getting used to the new layout. Seems like there isn't enough traction to notice the difference of the saddles though lol. Using 12/58 I got a little over 13 minutes of runtime with the gens ace 4800s. Probably from having to tip toe around the track.
I'm done rambling now, I've only owned the truck a month and really am starting to love it now that I'm getting it dialed in. Wasn't sure about it at first, always wanted to throw my electronics back in my Jammin' because at the time I could drive it a lot faster, but now I'm turning faster laps than I ever have.
