You guys realize Jeff is sponsered by AE right? He is no dummy and can wheel a truck!
Thanks for the compliment! I do my best at the track and to help out otherwise.

Okay, So Lod didn't get back to me, so I decided to continue to figure it out myself:

So there you are. I never saw anyone show this, other than in text, so I thought i'd throw it up for people. I did this with my FT chassis Brace, so anyone's should work if you didn't get yours from me.

Now: To install that Tamiya Fan over the motor, and I think I'll be just fine.

Has anyone tried running the truck without the front swaybar?

Can someone tell me exactly how the truck acts when the belt skip a teeth or jump the pulley and then comes back on? What should I experience when this occurs?

Also maybe if we stop running on 1/8th scale tracks it shouldn't take long before AE realize,"Hey! How come our trucks never in races on these 1/8th tracks, why are all the other brands represented except for us, OH!!!! They have theirs based on 1/8th buggies, we better get our act together, we're losing money!"

Yea I think if people start thinking of the 4x4 as more of an 1/8 SCT than a true 1/10 scale it will help 4x4 gain popularity.

We've already seen this happen at the top of the food chain. There were some big races the "A" team attended that no one ran the class.

Obviously... Ryan didn't know about the Ryan setup.

Seriously Though, I have noticed this too. They seem to pull into that class only on real 10th scale tracks where they typically dominate. Which is great and all, But we're being told where to race and just like them, We have to make a choice. This is not saying we can't win on an 8th scale, only we are at a significant disadvantage.

I look at it this way. I don't make my living racing my toy cars. I do however rely on RC car racing to help wash away the stress derived from my lively hood.

So, optimal or not, I'm going to toss it on the track and go.

BTW, I'm a big fan of the FJ setup...balanced and conservative.

Bad idea, the truck already has too much steering and that will only make it worse.

I posted this a few days ago, I ran my truck for the first time and loved it. Big difference from my stock slash

I'm running turnigy soft packs and after a few runs I noticed the pack had a small puncture in it

After investigating, I looked at the battery tray and where the middle and rear chassis plates meet. There is the small section where it curves up and that is where it must have flexed and pinched the lipo. Has anyone experienced this??

If you want to run 1/8 scale than buy one all this is going to do is divide the class, hence how the truggy developed killed moster truck, took a hit on the buggy and then since every talent lacking A-hole could drive one of these beasts it became a hack fest. Which every descent drive gets sick and tired of so the class dies. Here we go again. Let 1/10 be 1/10 and 1/8 be 1/8 thats why they are different.

I just saw that the manual recommends that when the belt tension is right, if you push in the middle of the belt, it should at most give by 3mm. Mine gives easily to the center divider. I tightened the front tensioner from the recommended 1 position to 3, and it made little difference. Is that normal and the manual is wrong, or is my belt too long?
