For what it's worth, My SCTE, ready to run, which is box stock weighs 6lbs 10 ozs. Brian's (Smilley's) truck has a lightened chassis and towers is probably closer to 6lbs 7 or 8 ozs.

Hrm, weird. Wonder why Losi lists the roller at 6.75lbs then.

Maybe they were guesstimating complete with electronics?

Correct, however 6.75 lbs is 6lbs 12ozs. Mine is a bit lighter since I am running CF shock towers and a Pro 4 Tekin motor.

I typically run my AE truck at about 6lbs 4ozs.

Don't put a 3s in it and spin the rubber off the rim if that's what you mean. I throw a new belt in, and run it like i'm racing it.

Just check the belt tension after your first pack. It'll slack just a bit.

I just found that the older kits apparently simply don't have o-rings on the shocks (the large one around the cartridge). So my kit isn't missing one, it's missing all.. the manual doesn't describe them, the newer manual off the AE page does.

I tried setting ride height just now.. using the shock collar recommendations from the manual (6/4 mm), I end up with a height of ~32+ mm. Even with the collars all the way up, I only get close to 27mm, but can't reach them. Is there anything else that influences the height? The tires I run (Schumacher Mini-Spike) are a bit taller than stock, so that accounts for some (probably 2mm).. but I also read someone running 24mm here and that would be impossible to achieve just using the collars.

Are the springs brand new? I've never looked close enough myself but I've heard that new some new springs need to settle a bit before they reach their final height. If that's not the case Id make sure I wasn't using springs that were too stiff for the weight of the truck.

As far as ride height goes I don't measure it anymore, I just go a-arms level in the front and SLIGHTLY less than level in the rear. It comes out close to the recommended height.

The springs are new, as is the truck.. never drove it yet (and won't have a chance to do so properly for at least a month more.. argh!).

Arakon , measure the ride height by measuring at the edges ft & back of the middle section of chassis...

make it 24m...

Are you measuring from the lowest part of the chassis?

I'm at 24 front and 22 rear that makes the front arms level and the rears just slightly less than level. (measured with the body off)
I have brand new yellow springs front and rear. The gap between the shock cap and the spring collar is 7.45mm on the rear shocks and 5.72mm on the front shocks.

WC you have a PM

I'm measuring mine from the 4 corners of the main (center) part of the chassis. It is the flattest and lowest part of my chassis with the least amount of wear.
That's what's working for me

I didn't cut anything on the truck to make it fit. I just trimmed the under body and secured it with velcro. I can post some pics if it if you would like.

Yeah. If you don't mind, before I cut up mine without a better idea.
