i'm a bit embarrased to ask but does the taper point up or down?

there was a suggestion that the ghea pistons were aluminium but in reading it seems they're (good quality) plastic??

Top packet looks like V1 holeshots, lower packet V2.0.

Looking at the GHEA pistons what are the advantages/disadvantages in the flat vs tapered pistons? Thanks in advance

Usually the pistons have the taper down. This allows you to run thicker oil or more pack to avoid bottoming while allowing the car to rebound quicker with the softer springs.

If you run them the other way you will get softer suspension which will bottom out more and the rebound will be slower.

I bought the b4.1 rtr kit, and I ended up converting it to a ft over like 6 months. I have been reading about inline front axles. Did my buggy come with these? I read that the benefit was more steering. Is this true? And if I need to switch can someone post up a part number? Thanks.

No, your buggy wouldn't have come with them. I have not tried them but I seem to recall that these are not typically used for the buggy (too aggressive) but hopefully someone who has can provide more insight.

You need #9623 and #9577

You need #6220 and #6221
Those are for the B3...The correct part numbers are: 9623 and 9577. They arent typically used because they make the car very twitchy.

not many people know that the sc10 and the b4 are alot of the same parts..
if you really wanna try all different types of cool tires or anything 12mm hex, you should do the mod that all the sc10 racers do.. you need the front castor block/ front steering knuckle/ front axles and front bearings for the hpi blitz, shim it right and you can put 12mm hex on your front and rear.. it'll open you up to a whole new rim and tire selection that are more balanced for them crazy speeds.. here are some links

Still running that plastic chassis though I see, slacking on that one. RCRD makes them for the B4 in a +8 and +12 version.
