SC10 4x4 Thread
For inline I can't see how the RX8 would fit in there since I just did an inline saddle mod with an RX8 to my stock plastic centre chassis.
You would need to grind some of the metal off the back of the chassis where the stock radio box clamps onto (a piece sticks out) and you might have to grind off a bit of the Exotech CF inline mount to make the RX8 fit. I know I would make it fit.
I attached a picture of where you would need to grind some material down. That's what I had to do.
You can't install the RX8 on the passenger side since the belt tunel is low and the RX8 wouldn't fit under it.

Anyone measured the distance from there inline conversion lipo retainer edge to the rear wall on the chassis? Curious the amount of space there available.

It's perhaps a bit too early to say but does anyone knows if working on the diffs (opening etc. for maintenance) is going to take a lot of time, just like the RTR-version and the kit-version?
For the moment I'm driving a Traxxas Slash 4x4 but I've had it with it.
Currently I'm cruising on these forums between the AE SC10 4x4, the Losi Scte and the TD DESC410R.
After reading and reading those threads I think the TD DESC410R is out of order for me. But I'm tangled between the AE and the Losi.
According to JANG (URC) and other sources it takes a lot of time to work on the AE diffs. I know the Losi also has its issues but at this moment my feeling prefers the Losi.
For that reason I would like to know if those diffs on the FT are just the same as on the kit and RTR-version.

Wondering how much of the plastic they changed? Looks like not all the parts are FT. Might just get the chassis and arms if they are different. The rest of the stuff I already have. That slipper spring is a monster now.

No graphite?
Pass.
They overlooked the only real problem this truck has, and band-aided it with a chassis brace. Thanks AE. Guess ThunderbirdJunkie will sit out of 4wd SCT for the long haul since all the other trucks suck too.
Too bad that materials issues are the only thing in this truck's way, but they opted not to change anything.

I think since the center diff allows for more forward acceleration, it causes more weight to shift to the rear, having side-by-side up front could help with that.
Just a theory.
Don't know about the RX8 but for the MMP mounted on the right side, I just needed to remove the belt tunnel to fit it in there, then was able to fit it back on.

So I am looking at saddle packs and like the gens ace, but I'm not sure the 25C will be enough for my 550 4.5. I'm steering more toward the turnigy 50C, but the overseas shipping seems ridiculous. Thoughts? Thanks.
they work great, my buddy was just as fast as me with his and I was using 60C ones.
