Maybe the new big bores are those on this truck! Looks like V2 but bigger and they have that retainer that Factory drivers had on their shocks.

GHEA makes the collars and they are nicer in my opinion then using the traxxas stuff. It's my understanding that adjusting with the traxxas stuff is not as easy as using the GHEA collars

I'm throwing Losi springs back on tonight. I'll snap a couple pics with the GHEA collars so you can see it.

never mind, he already did .

You may find that with the collars you have to shim out about .050" to avoid hitting the tower. Some guys were just dremeling the tower down a bit too. Either way will work.

No those have been out for some time now as an option part for the sc10 4x4. They are 15mm if I remember correctly. Basically an 1/8 scale shock. They are just coming standard on the FT sc10 4x4.

So the only thing you guys are seeing with the BB conversion is more stability and better landing of jumps and soaking up bumps? Or is there a handling advantage that anyone is seeing?

I think Bob or Wild Cherry did testing with the two.
I'll let them comment on it.

I run them. They help a lot over the whoops at the track I race at and also allow the buggy to go over bumps wide open I was not able to do before
