Just to add a bit more to the BB fitment.
I have just tested my Yokomo BB shocks from the BMAX4 Factory 2011 kit and they fit perfect, bar a small adjustment. Please excuse the dirt, as our track was wet, and i havent cleaned up the car. Im all for presentation when i come to the track, for the first race at least.
Taking into consideration im using the anodized front shock tower, the front shocks will need a spacer or nut to space them back from the tower so you get full travel and use of the inner hole. They do not bind in any way, and have the travel and droop that I want my B4 to have, Full lock left and right also no binding on springs.

The rear shocks will need a small piece taken out of the top of the shock mount (with dremel) wont need more than 2mm just so you can use inner top hole. Other than that, no binding in any other holes, the turnbuckles touch the springs by the slightest (i do mean slightest, can slide a piece of paper between) but dont have any restriction on the shock. They are the same length as AE V2 or the RTR Blue. Has a nicer feel, and damping properties, although I am only using 30 and 20 wt oil at this time.

Sorry to the other guy who may go NUTSO...

What collars are those, custom made?
the yokomo ones... shocks and all..

traxxas part is 3768 comes with 2 retainers, 2 cups, and some pistons...
im using the cups from the kit as they fit but are tight. but leave less room for adjustment as they sit "higher"
as far as springs, people are running any combo of losi orange or silver up front, and losi white, yellow or pink in the rear...
silver up front on high bite, orange up front on medium/low bite. (i believe)
white in the rear if you need most rear traction, yellow for medium rear traction, pink for high bite. (i believe)
as i said previously im running silver/white (WC Losi BB Setup)

Those shocks look BADD! I want some, how much where they/where can i get them?
How much heavier is the car with all the aluminum parts? Also what breaks now if you crash? I feel like if you crash since alot of that is stronger now, it'll put the impact on something else?

And yes these are the Yokomo Shocks complete, as shown above in another post.
Cheers
costs like $15 to do the spring swap if you use the traxxas cups too.
Cheers
Mine was in the 1670g area with HV 60c stick packs. With the shorty i'm at 1537g, and looking to go lower(seems like the fast locals are close to 1600g). I want to be at the 1500g legal limit then tune the car around the weight. I know the weight makes it more stable, but i want to try and make the shorty pack work because we all know lighter cars are faster cars. I raced with it last weekend and came in 6th out of 12 or so cars, with some terrible first few laps. I'd also like to buy 2 scales, weigh each corner with stick pack and shorty, get the car to 1500g while maintaining the same percentages of each corner, or close to it. Basically making it lighter as a whole rather than just the back end.

I was very pleased to go to the Losi spring combo on my car. Faster? No. More consistent? Yes. You could push the car harder and it was more forgiving if it got upset. It will be faster in the long run when it is all tested as I get used to it.
I went #2 all the way around.
1/2" of rebound.
35 front with Losi silver.
27.5 rear with Losi pink.
I went ahead and got the GHEA collars and they fit very well.
We run on a track which has big car ruts and bumps. It soaks it up and holds the line much better with the new spring package.
Awesome upgrade.
