Yep, drops right in.
Fluffy? Never seen that setting on my ESC.
I agree with what UN4RACING said. Basically turn down the brakes. You are most likely locking the wheels up altogether. A simple way to check for wheel lock up is to place bold stripes on the front rims with either a sharpie or some electrical tape. When you hit the brakes you can visually spot the wheel locking up easier.

I was wanting to make it brake like a 2wd.
I am having a problem with going from the B44.1 to the B4.1 and SC10 2wd. I use the brakes in the corner to turn it fast. The track I race on has 3 180deg tight turns.
The buggy pushes like a mofo in the corners. If you hit the brakes it just slides straight and drives me nuts.
I guess it's just going to be a new learning curve

I can run ABS which I may just try and adjust it.
I ran ABS on the SC10 4x4 and it really helped . that sucker would doa front flip under hard braking.
I will try reducing the brakes and play with the ABS.

For me, LRP speed controls are still my favorite, and Thunder Power motors are now my favorite motors. I put an 8.5 in my son's B44 and ran it for 6 months without pulling it out of the car, and my son puts a LOT of time on the car. I just pulled the 8.5 out and put a THunder Power 6.5 in and it is super strong. The 8.5 went in my son's 22 buggy for a big race. Wheelies all over with that 8.5.

I ran mid ABS (low, mid, high) it was nice. Worked very well. I had more braking than needed.
If i didn't use the ABS if i hit the brakes it will do a front flip on flat ground if I had traction, Which i had a lot of. the motor would lift the front wheels on command.
I never ran out of brakes though.

I use the LRP SXX TC SPEC v2 with LRP motors. Never had an issue with mine. Ran a Reedy sonic back while they were still in the development stage and they are super smooth as well. Have one on order (6.5).

There is a simple enough mod for a durango dex410 gear diff. Seach google for it. Comes up pretty easily.

Any esc and motor combo for mod. If you are serious and run stock then tekin esc for boost and epic d3 monster motors great combo. Other escs don't offer as much options to tune the boost, and those are the strongest stock motors I have seen. If you wanna try something else go for it, but that's my opinion. I like the Leo escs but they are set and forget with only a few options to set boost and brke. It a big difference and you can pic a tekin ts up for about 100 and you will not need to go below a 8.5 with it. If you go lower the esc will work too hard. You can add boost to an 8.5 and have something SUPER FAST

Hi guys, getting towards the end of my B44.1 build to start my 1:10th scale electric journey. I've raced 8th scale nitro a little while ago and I can not remember ever having to trim or shape tire foams before in 8th scale. The tire foams provided in the kit with the holeshot tires are huge compared to the tire. Is this typical for all foams in this scale ? Who trims the foams to a closer match to the width of the tire ? Who shapes the foam to conform to the bead or shape of the tire.
Some trimming and shaping advice please !!!
