Go for it. I've heard of drivers using all ceramics too. I tried ceramic diff balls before, but went back to carbide. Ceramic diff balls are so smooth and hard (ok, laugh, I'll wait....done? ok. ha!) they cause too much slipping in the diff gear. The carbide diff balls have more grip and allow for better diff action with no slip.

Don't these 4wd diffs never get gritty? Whats the maintenance on the things?

I've noticed the diffs take longer to get gritty in the 4wd. I can't put my finger on why this is. The only way to keep ceramic diff balls from slipping is to sand the diff rings with 400 grit sandpaper. However the diff balls will eventually polish the rings again and the slipping will be back.

Hey fellas whats a good pinion range set to pick up for b44.1? Im either looking at a 16-26 tooth all even set or a 15-25 odd set. Is either of these a good range to start from with the possibility of finding the sweet spot of the track and buggy?

You have to have them all. What if the sweetest spot is even and all you have is odd.... Grrrr.

hey guys I was always having issues with my lrp x12 6.5 motor getting too hot.. one of the guys at my track told me to put the heat sink I have on my slash onto the b44.1 motor... dropped 12-15 degrees easy. Now I just need to vent the body a little more and Ill be good.

I want to try the big bore spring conversion, but I don't know what springs to get. I want to try using the Kyosho springs, Does anyone have an idea what color springs and valves to use on a med-high traction clay track?
I went to WCRC on Saturday to check out the Reedy Races. Awesome racing!!!!

my protek saddle pack died overnight, it never has problem for a year, I was given it, had it for 6 months now and 2 nights ago I charged it to 8.4 but I had to go before is was fully done, Next day i plug it in and it says error low voltage...Nothing was touched. My esc doesn't turn on with that battery also. I worked fine 2 days ago at the track.. always charged it, ran 8 min at most..
