hey guys. just picked my s811 be up , quality is great!. just wondering . is the buggy great out of the box besides personal set up? like is it a definate that i should get the webbed shock bladders. and is the box set up a good starting point. also i noticed that when mounting the upper shocks to the tower , i noticed on another guys buggy he had a silver coller or washer that goes on after the upper shock is on the pivot mount, i did not notice if they came with my kit . i just mounted the shocks on with the cap hex screw. please help thank you. hey frank l. great video . was the set up u had far from stock ?
Here's a good starting point.

For the upper shock bolt I am using a 3x8 countersunk with a flat head washer

That setup was a long way from stock and it was not close to what I'm rolling today. What's on my car today is very close to what porkchop posted above with a few tweaks that are prob track specific on a tight indoor clay high bite track. Outdoor its a little tighter.

What you could surgest for me for better handing for rear end of buggy. Now I run with 5 5 3 diff oil, maybe 5 5 1 would be better?

How do you can drive this buggy with hubs forward. With it buggy rear end is very slipping for me. And I use thinner swaybar for front end and tighter swaybar for rear end. When I try thinner foward swaybar I get more stearing on high speed.

rcq my above set up is my base i went to the midwest crcrc champs on a bigger flowing track and made very few changes.
you can change things to make the car better for you.
3k center will smooth power thought the drivetrain and make life better.
2/c rear link also makes the car mega stable
and also my hubs are not all the way forward there big shim front the rest on the back side.
also that rear sway bar imo is what making your car slippry in the rear i felt the car rolled way to much going into a conor then when you slowly turned into the conor more the car rolled over and the rear end let go and sliped out form under the car.
leave your rear diff alone i try that to and felt the car got more inconsistant.
how much run time do you have on your car?
the more run time the more traction it builds
and the age old question are you running the tires the fast guys are?
also thinner front bar would be more steering
also less camber would be more steering
less toe out would be more steering
there a ton of ways to make more steering that people always over look

new notes for my set up
i sent a team driver to the midwest champs with my set up but with a few changes
8x1.3 pistons all around
42.5 front blue spring
32.5 rear with a yellow rear spring
he said the car felt more planted and all around better. so i will be testing that at the next race

With E-buggy I do not have a lottof time running but with Nitro I have run all summer season and just at the end of season I found how Cobra have to run.
What realy have lead me is end points of stearing. I always trying do end poind like the other cars , but with cobra I did it a little more on pull for a full stearing. Is it good
For tires yes I allways lookking what are running our fastest driver. Maybe you could advance what should I try for wet clay and about 5 Celsius. Now what we have find the best is Vtec banzai super soft.

that the problem you can run a nitro car set up on this car it a total differnt moster. it not the same car it has more weight on the front everthing i know about my nitro car in my nitro book. everthing for my eletric car is in a lil book its getting there nice and slow.
only one thing stay the same my rear shock postion

The snake impressed a lot of people today at the track. They liked how it looks on and off the track. I'm pretty sure I've hooked a couple new pilots. I TQ'd the class and won the main by a couple laps. All in all a good day at the track today. The track was a small tight clayish
track. I'm still using Chops setup basically. Only difference is I'm running -2.5 camber in the rear for the high speed sweepers that have been part of the last two tracks I've raced on. I was able to carry a lot more speed through the sweeper than the other cars.
