I seem to like my setup right now,

so cherry what setup are you finding best now? and i thought pinks were better, i felt yellow to be a little loose when you got out of the corner and punched it..
pinks felt much better.

Is this for a high bite track?

I'm sitting at
front 30w, 2 piston, 2 limiters, Silver Losi
rear 27.5w, 2 piston, 2 limiters, Yellow Losi

Rest is pretty much Cav's Finnland setup.

BoB

Looks good , maybe add a limiter on the ft ...

If you try the drilled piston on the rear you will find a little better landing off the jump.

Been bouncing between the three colors , so far I keep coming back to pink , but most are still using yellow at TRCR..

Stupid question perhaps, but why don't buggies have a bumper at the front - one that would prevent frontal impacts on the wheels?

Is it a rules thing, or that it just wouldn't look buggyish

Adding another limiter... should reduce roll on the front end. Isn't that going to in effect reduce traction as well or am I thinking wrong?

Bob

extra spacers or limiters
allow less body roll into the turn , does not effect traction...

intersting.......body/chassis roll to me always translated to traction. One of the reasons you would throw on a sway bar or change a roll center....

How much does 3 limiters limit you in terms of rough track....... this track we race at can get kind of sloppy because of the 8th scales.

Default Losi BB Conversion Parts

After almost 3 months of trying the BB springs vs the std AE springs, I personally am faster with std. The easiest way to describe the difference between the two is that the AE springs feel more darty and precise, while the BB springs all tend to make the car feel more plush, maybe a little slower reacting and they land rough jumps better. If you still want to try for yourself, here are the parts needed.

Parts needed for Losi Big Bore Spring conversion

RPM spring collar #70322 / Traxxas version #3768 (use either or)

TLR Front 12m spring , silver #5174
TLR Front 12m spring, orange #5173
TLR Front 12m spring, red #5172
TLR Rear 12m spring , pink #5168
TLR Rear 12m spring , yellow #5167
TLR Rear 12m spring, white #5166

TLR 12m spring cups #5095

GHEA Spring Collars (very nice)
part number - GHEA2070

Available at Absolute Hobbies or directly from GHEA overseas.
