Currently I have it set to what the quick reference guide says for 23t motors for the 19t TC. Any help would be appreciated.

In 19 turn you can run P6 setting and drop your freq. setting to 3.0

for 12th stock I'd go with P5.

YAY TIMMAY! Haha, you're following in my footsteps! Keyence is the way to go! Who did you get it from?

I have the owners manual, and an additional manual that is specifically about programming it. I'll let you take a look at them anytime.

Anyways, you gotta come up to Larry's sometime with me and bust out your 1/12th. I have been practicing there recently and it has been alot of fun (gotta get ready for carpet season again...it's starting up in a month there ). I'm going up there tommorow (tuesday the 27th). Gimme a call sometime and let me know when/if you wanna go.

The problem is with all the busted led's I can't really confirm if I am loading profile P5. Since the factory default for the esc is P5 when you get the esc I want to reset it as if its new from keyence so I am sure its at P5.

Does anyone else have the same problem of busted led's, makes programming or even using the esc almost impossible. I really like the esc and would be willing to get a new one but if the busted led's problem is common then I won't be getting another Keyence soon.

Thanks for the reply STLNLST!

Thanks for the help guys. I have both manuals.

Kev, I recieved mine from the same person you got yours from. I helped out Al Yarmak on Sunday in taylor when his speed control popped. I gave him my Quantum 2 to use and he talked me into buying it from me. I then needed a speed control and this one popped up all of the sudden. I made $10.00 also.

When i first turned on the speed control and looked at the manual, it looked hard to program. After about 5 minutes of reading and going through the menu, it is really easy. So far the speed control is great and I don't feel any difference than my Q2.

At least this one greets me when I turn it on.

Thanks again guys.

Tim

So all of you guys agree, no scottky diodes with the Keyence?
I'm going to try it out for the first time in my xray with P5 program running stock outdoors in asphalt.

Thanks,
John

Haha! That's amazing! You even made 10 bucks...AND you got a better speed control! Sounds like you got a deal!

It feels really smooth on carpet and everyone who tried my car loved the speed control.

Any word on going to larry's?

If I go to Larry's, it'll be to run my 12th scale. I will be going there in a couple of weeks.

Talk to ya soon.

John,

I usually use 2 on all of my other cars. When I put this one in, I removed the diodes and ran the car. The motor came out in the same shape as it did with the quantum. Without a diode on my quantum, the motor was fried after every run.

I will probably put the diodes back on because I don't see how they can cause the speed control to malfunction or fail.

I'll post what I find out.

Yeah, I know it would be to run your 12th. Just let me know when you are going.

Default scottky diodes

there are a couple of people I race with who have been using scottky diodes for months and have had no problems at all from what they tell me.

Zach, do you run a Keyence? If so, what makes you run that instead of the VFS-2000? Have you had both and are you able to compare for us? I just want to know your input.

Thanks,
Kevin

I use to run a keyence but have switched over to lrp(smaller). The ko vfs-2000 and hara twister are both excellent speed controls and should not be dismissed right away. The keyence I found to be very smooth and the new rapida should not disappoint in this department. It is also one of the most programable esc's on the market to date the only one that is more programable is the ko vfs-2000/twister with the optional interface thing. But in the end it is always going to be which is better novak or lrp because people are to ignorant to consider all of the options they have like the keyence and ko propo/hara twister.

Yeah, thats the problem. You are right. I rarely ever see anyone using anything but LRP's or Novak's.
