Ok, I thought it would work better than a stick pack. Isnt the point of saddles to get the weight closer to the front?

It is, although most seem to go inline front to back.

Will the shorty fit front to back?

I will test it soon and report back, but our truck isnt heavy like other SCT's so I would think so. I can run for 15+ min on a 5000 mah pack.

I will check and see, it will be more difficult to make a battery strap for it though. The shorty is a very small lipo so I would think it will fit.

Can someone tell me if a Hyperion G3 EX 2S 5000mAh 45C battery will work on this truck? I'm using it in another truck and was curious if it would work in the SC10.

Dimensions are 2cm thick, 4.3cm wide, and 15.5cm long. My only concern is that the battery leads come out the end of the pack which effectively adds to the overall length. See here: http://hyperion-world.com/products/p...-LG345-5000-2S

Is it just a matter of cutting the foam block that comes with the truck?

Thanks in advance

More than likely it will fit if its the pretty much std size 2s battery. yea you might have to trim the foam a lil bit but that's no biggie.

I don't mind RC Car action to it's intent. Get people excited about stuff.

But: Ads are rediculous.
And: They never 'ever' have anything bad to say about anything. Cons are like "Yeah, it didn't perform as well as a RACE TRUCK, but it's STILL GREAT!"

There are some cool things like rebuilding shocks and glueing tires for my customers that helps them out. That's it though. about 10 pages total are worth a damn for a 'into it' RC'er. The rest is "no duh" and bashers, You're right.

If someone made a R/C offroad magazine more catered to the racer it would sell imo.

Yeah, that is why R/C Car magazine from Hi Torque Publications is not around anymore. I use to subscribe to it and it had a lot of good articles. They also called crap for what it was, crap. Thus, I am sure they lost some ad money and folded.

Anyone read Xtreme R/C Cars magazine? The professors? Ya, that's most of the reason why I read that one!

Oh, and RC Driver magazine is good about not having tons of ads but it's still geared toward bashers and those new to the hobby.

RCCA's pit tips are worthless for those well acquainted to the hobby, but occasionally I will see one that is cool.
