I am thinking about going to the pro 4 4600, the sc4x just doesnt have the top end on the straight. I know someone is going to say gear up but I lost a little bottom end already with the added weight and we have a couple of good sized jumps with short run ups. I may try a 14 this week and see how it does. Motor does great every where on the track, then I hit the straight and just kinda cruise when I would rather fly.
If your not running any timing in the motor, try bumping up the timing a little. Thats where you'll see a lot more power! Just keep an eye on your temps because adding timing will bring the heat. You're only temping at 130's so you have some room to play. You can safely come off after the main at 180.

Okay. Mantis owes me 4 lipos too!

Anyone know why it's done that to my bullets? All 4 (negatives and positives depending on batteries) are doing that? Truck runs great, batteries charge fine, and run fine even after I charged them like this and ran again... I haven't had this happen before.

Default Pro4 vs castle 1410 3800

What is the performance difference between the Tekin Pro4 4000 and a Castle 1410 3800 with a mmp esc? I run a Novak 5.5 550 at a 1/8 scale track. I am also going to run at a 1/10 scale track that doesnt allow 550s in sct class. A few have answered a motor question for me in the past and I have read a lot lately that the Pro4 seems to be THE motor. Any recommendations before I purchase this week? Just wondering if the performance is worth it since the castle 1410 can be bought for under $70.

Hi guys, I’m having trouble with my truck feeling 2WD'ish. It feels like 80% power to the rear and like 20% to the front. I come from nitro truggy racing and wanting to feel the front pull more. Any suggestions on how to make it feel that way? I run the slipper and clicker locked down, but it still feels mostly like a 2WD.

Would the pin mod or aftermarket center diff help in this area?

I have seen Losi SCTE's do that to batteries.
The problem seems to be the bullet connectors that have the little springy basket plus real high bite track.
They switched to I think Castle bullets that are solid and haven't had the problem since.

Always figured it had to do with how heavy they were and all the drag in their driveline.

Caged male bullets? Seriously? Is it chirping the power and causing heat? I don't even...

Hey guys.. quick question. What is the measurements of the battery tray? I need to pick up some new lipos. What seems to be the most common or popular for this truck?

Yes common with high power high load (4wd) if solid bullets don't fix it then you'll need higher c batteries. But my guess is the bullets.

It doesn't stutter at low rpms. I was thinking maybe its the battery c rating like you said. Everything else is running good except for that braking on itself problem. It mostly seems to occur if I accelerate hard from a stand still or low speed. Nothing heated up while I was using it. And I used it for a long time. I would say at least a half an hour. I wasn't on a track. It was a parking lot. Would that battery normally last that long if I'm just using the truck in a parking lot?

Well it's definitely not the C rating, so I'll replace these bullets asap.

Fkn Gold plated connectors...
