I got to run my truck for a second day at the track and it is getting better. Since my first outing with the truck, I put the exotech chassis on. You can definitely feel the weight with the exotech chassis. The truck doesn't feel as tipsy or featherweight. Much more planted.
One funny thing I noticed with the Exotech chassis is that it kind of acts like self righting gyro. The truck almost always lands on its wheels if you happen to flip it over. The extra weight seems to flip the truck over on its wheels naturally.
Very impressed with the durability of the car, particularly the bumpers. The bumpers suck on the Losi. Still not quite as fast as I was with the Losi, but my setup still needs some work. I feel this car has the potential to be faster than the Losi, but it is going to take another day or two of practice and adjustments to get there.
Next up is the RC Shox and yellow springs. I also picked up the Hazard rims for the extra width.
I did feel the truck had a problem nosing down over a big quad. However, I noticed when I got home a shock end had busted, so not sure if that is what was causing it or not.
Nevertheless, enjoying the truck a lot.

i think im going back to the sc10, my durango has been good but with all these new setups for the sc10 i believe it should be more competitive and i know for a fact ive never broken a piece on this truck compared to my durango. gotta try that new exotek chassis out too

I think between not being able to get parts and using old tecknology the durango is done my truck was much quicker this weekend than any of the durangos out there, only one well drivin losi was giving me problems,
This debate about what is needed and not needed is very funny. I get beat by box stock with just F/R swaybars. 95% of it is all about driving better. 5% set up and the big part of it is correct tires.
My current set up saddle with Coyote brace, clutch basket and swaybars is it really needed, no but this hobby is about trying new things. Some might think it's worth it, some not.
Plus one's racer set up doesn't mean it's going to work for you everybody drives different.
Just my 2 cents

Now that said, a lot of the upgrades & mods people are doing to this truck are to calm it down to make it easier to drive and more forgiving, which in turn makes the driver better.
Hey Marcus & testers, what weight oil are you running in the diffs with the center diff?
Without the pin I liked 5k/30k, with the pin, seems more like 10k or 15k in tthe front would be better (haven't' gotten around to trying)

This is a for sure.

I'm honestly a little offended that you don't care about the second class you want to run. Cause that's what it comes down to when you want box performance and actually compete. The only way this can make any real sense, is if you are running a Stock 4x4 class. Then disregard anything in this post. Then I can see the concern for not wanting to touch your truck and only the Radio.
"requires tuning to handle right then i'll pass": gets under my skin.
I'm not raging or anything, I just can't understand if you actually are a racer, why you would assess tuning as 'not an option'. 2nd, 3rd, 4th, or 5th Class. What a Cop out.
OFNA's require alot of work
Losi has to get lightened up
AE's has to get weighted down
SL4x4 have to be completely restructured
#to list a few things#
'ya got my eye twitchin' sonny!

Thats not what i heard about the ofna hyper sc 4x4 needing a lot of work from others who own them and people i race with Sure diffrent weight shock /diff oils im not saying it doesnt need minor work.
Im a racer but i run my 1/8 Rc8tce E truggy as my main class and its not bad out of the box so why whould i want to put that much work into a second class just saying. Im not saying i wouldnt but a little tuning to it but i dont want to put hop ups on it if i dont need to or any major tuning.
But yea im getting the ofna hyper 4x4 bump ed because i want to be diffrent and im tried of running the same brand.
Manthis: Na i used to run a tc5 a long time ago i want to change my name but i cant figure out how to.

Every truck requires some amount of tuning. I don't think this truck requires much at all. I built it, installed the AE high torque pads, and race it. That's it. I don't have anything else on it and I do quite well with it. You can read what poeple are saying to do, but you also have the option to do nothing and just use the truck and replace/upgrade whatever parts are causing you a problem. Which for me, hasn't been anything yet. In my oppinion the truck is dialed right out of the box.
I know i dont mind doing some tuning but not a lot though .
I did think the RC8TCE was dialed out of the box its converted to electric now. But i did do some minor tuning to it to fit my driving style so yea its what the driver likes thats what matters.
I am looking at another servo and the savox 1258TG looks great speed and torque wise. But I heard this servo causes glitching because of the power that it needs to operate. I am running a LRP sxx v2 TC Spec speed controler. Anyone with experiance with this servo did you need anything extra to solve the glitching promblem?

They upgraded the arms now that was when they first came out.
On the bump ed it has the upgrades needed.

Well ive seen a couple of guys run them at the tracks ive been to with no breaking from what ive seen. Why did they keep on breaking nosediving ?
Every truck has a weak issue though.

the body post mounts break, the a arms ar still suspect i.e. thin, the center driveshafts pins wear out quickly... I could continue, but i dont want t badmouth a decent truck, but the hypers day has come and gone, the new breed is out whether it is a losi, durango, or the associated, I would never go back to a slash ofr hyper or jammin.
The sc10 realy doesnt have a weakness per say, other than the a arms getting saggy, and the truck needing some tlc via tuning.
