He will have to chime in on that, but if he makes one, I'll probably pick one up then. Of course, then I would have to get the new exotek chassis as well.... This would probably be the only way I would get a chassis, I much prefer inline mounting, plus it's easier to install the wires. I like the velcro style mount that he started with. Makes it easy to get the saddles in and out of the truck if need be. Also like how it's adjustable with several mounting holes.

The .5 deg STRC rear hubs are a nicebit of bling, and the also aid in locking down the rear und.

Personally still running the original original plastic everywhere and it is holding up to the abuse, except for the suspension arms....those bend like wet spaghetti...but no aluminum options for those that I have seen....
i dont think the exotek chassis is "needed" per say, but it sure is sweet, and looks better than having a bunch of lead haning off you truck. It sure isnt going to make you a pro, but.....

the front and rear of the truck is still plastic and provides enough flex for low traction surfaces. the video i posted was on very low grip and the truck had more traction with the chassis (video proof!!). i agree that if you dont have the chassis and /or have never driven the chassis how can you speculate on what it does? I am telling you as a fact the chassis works and the chassis works well, you can put as much lead as you want on the stock chassis it will not be the same. i dont recall ANYONE that actually has the chassis complain about it, so what does that say? Traction is traction no matter where it comes from! If i didnt like the chassis i would just take it off and sell it, i dont sell them on my site so its not like i am promoting it for a profit, it just works VERY well on all surfaces

and the argument of 100.00 is too much? Cmon now, anyone on the forum that is even remotely compettive or at least trying to win is not going to sweat 100.00, this chassis will make as much of an improvement than a 100.00+ high "C" battery pack, a set of tires, 150.00 for a 540 motor??? (yet we all still have it), an SC body at least every other mth (60.00 minimum). and this chassis will literally last forever! Maybe its just me but i like to have every possible edge i can get to win and the chassis is definately an edge!

here is my saddle pack mount for the exotec chassis, they will not be on the site as i didnt plan on making them but just contact me if you want one made.

Well, I think there is potential for the Exotek but at Trackside the chassis with the proven chassis brace setup plain does not work. It would lift the inside front tire on corners under acceleration with the tires that worked on the plastic chassis trucks. When pushed it would simply barrel roll off the track. To make the truck work it needed either tires with less side bite or a completely different setup.

This is not to say it is bad, just that the plastic chassis with a brace (and not a ton of weight added) is fast enough to beat the current national champion. I am switching Jason back to the plastic chassis for now, as he was much faster with it.

Keith.
