The 2000kv is a lot of motor. I would try the lowest (#1?) timing profile first and see how it runs/temps.... Then adjust from there, if you feel it needs more.

Ive run both, with zero issues.... The boys and I have both had some terrible crashes with soft packs... IMO, once theyre strapped in the car, that battery tray does most of the work.

They bolt up the same, just have different locations for shock, and camber links.

1/8 truggys demand a lot of power to run the larger tires, and longer driveshafts.

Maybe your ESC is just under...

Definitely sounds like you have an issue... Maybe more than electronic related? ... It wouldn't hurt to slide motor...

I'm glad I borrowed the scale to try out, instead of purchasing. Now that I've used it a couple of times, I think...

Agreed.... The 4.0 updates haven't made it all the way thru TLR's 8th scale lineup. I wouldn't expect a 5.0 for a while.
