Does anyone know if the 4.0 front shock tower work with the RTR geometry wise?

I tried looking for TLR244002 its discontinued on Amain and not even coming up on Horizon's site. This is listed as the upgrade for the front shock tower. I already have the 8IGHT-E 3.0 rear tower on order(lower camber link hole, better handling)

I'd rather not get it from eBay, don't trust it. Thanks in advance!

Is the 3.0 not upgradable to the 4.0?

I went with the 8IGHT-E front shock tower, I'll let you know how it goes, but I think it should be just fine.

Hi guys, I'm new to rc models world (and new to this forum, being from Italy).
I just recently bought this car, and i can say it's funny so far.
I have a few questions, i hope you can help me (LOSI is not as popular in italy, so it's hard to find decent answers, even on forums):

1. If i want to upgrade parts, any LOSI 3.0 KIT part will fit the car, right?
2. I'm using Byron 25% nitro (11% oil). You reckon that is the proper nitro? Do you know MECCAFUEL nitro? Seems to be way easier to find over here. Any other good fuel you would reccomend me?
3. I did 2 tanks of nitro with the car on the stand, at minimum gas. Then i did another 2 tanks on the circuit. Can i start to move the low and high speed needle and lean a bit?

Thank you :-)

welcome to the forum!

The Losi RTR is awesome.

About 90% of the 3.0 parts will fit. If you check the back of the manual, it lists the upgrade parts.

The Dynamite .21 will accept 20-30% nitro. As long as its in that range, you're good. 9-11% is more of race blend and anything above is more suited towards bashing.

For break in, I followed the manual. Drive the car in a parking lot or open area with concrete or tar, not on dirt, in a figure 8 pattern using 1/4 throttle and accelerating up to 1/2 throttle for the first 2 tanks. After each tank I would put the piston at bottom dead center and let cool completely. 2 tanks of this. Then 2 more tanks, same as before but accelerating up to 3/4 throttle for the 3rd tank and just briefly touching full throttle on the 4th tank. Then took it to the track. 2 extra tanks running a bit rich just for safe measures then start to tune it for a race tune. Keep temps under 260.

My 3.0 shock towers and 3.0 16mm shocks come tomorrow. Cant wait to put them on
:-D

I also bought the 3.0 shock tower (front) since a shop had it very cheap for 3.
I was thinking about replacing the shocks, but that would cost 100 so i'm waiting till maybe i find em a bit cheaper :P

Yes, the 4.0 tower should work fine. Front and rear.

They bolt up the same, just have different locations for shock, and camber links.

Another question: i have this starter box:

Robitronic Starterbox for Buggy & Truggy 1/8 (red anodized)

I find it REALLY hard to align it to use it, anyone else has experience?
