The slipper clutch will make a big difference, it will make your drive line last longer! The DF03RA has alot of hop-up options on ebay.

+1, I'd go for the CC 5700kv on 3s with 4000+mah 30 or 40c lipo & with grippy tires. Just be sure to keep an eye on motor temps when setting it all up.

Yes good point, I've been happy with the Leopard 8.5t 3570kv 650w motor, cheap & good.

Some 1/10 scale can use 3s 11.1v lipo, but it's to much power only good for speed runs.

What battery are you using? If it's a 2s 7.4v lipo, then I'd agree with a 13.5t - 3300kv for a small track. A large track or high speed bashing I'd use 10.5t or 8.5t, a motor with around 4000kv. ...

The Tamiya Frog always sell on ebay, so selling it wouldn't be a problem. But if you wanted to keep it, parts can be easily found & I'd fit a full ball bearing set, with a Tamiya Sport Tune Motor :D

I'm using a Ezrun 8.5T 4000kv brushless motor & 60amp ESC combo, with a 2s 5000mah lipo & Pro Line tires! wheelies all day (if I wanted to) & excellent top end speed. Good set up for a XXXT CR.

I'd buy a Tamiya super stock TZ or BZ motor. With rubber shielded full ball bearings, so it will last longer & longer run time & slightly higher top end speed.
