Talking T4 brushless

I picked up a used factory team T4 truck today no electronics and I'm thinking about going brushless-lipo and racing in the modified class. All this brushless lipo stuff is all new to me. I just got back into racing after taking a break since the mid 90's so I'm looking for some advice on motors and batteries. I want it to be drivable and cash might be an issue. Is it worth it or should I just go with a good brushed mod motor and a 7 or 8 cell battery. Thanks

Here is a gearing chart for motors , batteries etc. Hope that helps.
I would say keep away from 3s lipo for now, unless you want 60+mph.

I would go brushless , there is a huge difference in performance and efficiency .

If you can flip the bill take a look at Tekin RS sensored systems . They are more then other but well worth the features plus you get free updates , unlike some other brands . I tried Tekin last year and is now I only will run .

A Castle Creations Sidewinder/4600kV combo plus a cheap 2S 20C lipo and you will have more then enough power to keep you occupied. I run a similar setup in my Double-X and it is retarded fast.
