If the HW motor and esc are both rated for 3S then I don't see why people are being dramatic. You're at the limit of the electronics and putting more power in the car so it'll increase the likelihood...

That is a fair point, though this will be a crazy power build for the sake of it, I plan on drifting and bashing rather than racing since there’s no local tracks.

Look into making or finding someone to make 3D printed gear covers. It would be a lot faster than waiting for manufacturers to do it first, that way you can pick the most durable kit out of the box...
