If you check the setup sheets you will find the european drivers may be using the standard 540...

On tracks with huge, high-energy jumps, the rear alloy diff hoop is necessary. If you land nose hard off a huge jump the chassis flexes foreward like a "U" and the plastic rear diff hoop can break.

I run them exclusively.
They are stiffer, wider and heavier than stock, fact.
Softer compound tires are (for some reason) easier to glue onto DE vs. stock rims, my opinion.

Regarding shocks, if you build/bleed them right, they will never pop-off during regular driving. If an a-arm gets torn off then they will go too.
Never re-use a cap that has come off a shock...

You could use either motor size, however most people are using the Tekin Pro4 motors. They are 540 sized cans with a 5mm output shaft. This allows the use of a Mod1 pitch pinion and spur.

In noticed a type compound in the front motor plate too, in the bearing seat. I did'nt add anything because the bearing needed pressing in.
