I know you said you're clutch is fine....but I still think the problem lies there. Either your shoes are hanging up and not releasing or you need to try stiffer clutch springs for later engagement....

I believe a Novarossi R7 rod will work fine in your C6. It's probably the same part, as that RB engines is made by Novarossi. Not much cheaper than the RB part though. I don't know about the S7...
