IF someone is looking for a "partial" Jammin engine. contact me. THe carb went bad on the motor at about 2 gallons and its been sitting on my shelf for the last 8 months. PM ME... Not looking to get anything ridiculous for it, really just want it gone.

finished the break in today. this engine is a monster! im racing it tomorrow. i cant wait!
what kind of run times are some of you getting with the AE pipe? or is that not a pipe to use? its the only one i have so it'll have to work for me for now. im planning to get the ofna 086 pipe though. from what ive read that pipe seems the best for "fuel mileage" for this motor. any other pipes?

Actually fuel mileage will be better with the 053 pipe..But the 086 is a beast...No one will pass you on any of the straights thats for sure..Run times are not great with either pipe depending on your track and your finger I would say 7-9 minutes with 086 and a little more with 053 Nitrohouse sells restricors which will help greatly..any of the Picco based restrictors will fit..get the smallest one they have (7mm)

whats the deal with the new JPX.21 plus is it just a new drilled head and new carb?

Jammin JPX.21 plus which is a running change with the same part number it has a new carb for runtime on the needle housing and lighter cooling head that Jay said it actully makes the engine run cooler. The housing for the carb has a smaller inlet for less fuel conumption, and is still adjustable for venturis.

Ive had the engine in my hand, the carb feels allot smoother than previous picco carbs(some were pretty rough slides), and the holes in the head were done after anodizing its a very nice looking engine.

-R2-

Is the JPX.21 Plus available through the usual retailers such as Amain and Nitrohouse now (with the same OFNA part # as you stated)? Is is retailing for the same price as the 'old' JPX.21?

I'm also curious whether the sealing issues on the Picco carb bodies (between the poly body and the aluminum HSN end cap) have been addressed.

Thanks

We had been out for some time for the Jammin engines because of this new change so i would think that if your getting a new jammin engine it would be the Plus we have had them on back order so if the shops are saying they just got them in them yes they will be new units, as for the sealing issue I have not applied any sealer to any of the Jammin or Picco engines and it voids warranties if sealer is applied so be carefull in doing this I have had several engines come in and the silicon is deep in the engine and destroyed the bearings and just smugged the piston and sleeve.

The carb like I said has been improved on the housing where the inlet is smaller and the housing is black coated along with the fuel nipple, now I don't know if that's an improvement but it looks like it's hardened for durability esp when you tighten down it looks like it also has a new low speed needle that has a kind of black polish look it seems like it was done to easily turn and adjust the needle.
