I've actually just ordered the MMP SCT with 1410 3800kv combo. It's called Mamba Max Race Pro SCT ESC/1410 3800kV Motor 5mm. It is affordable and the esc is the same as the one included in 2400 kv...

The weight limit on that 2400kv motor is set as 6.5lbs just like the 3800kv one. 1/8 scale buggies are probably too heavy.
