Anyone have a video of the T300 in action (on the bench)? Also is the T300 overkill for steering in a 1/8 nitro buggy?

I had the tekin t440 in a mt410 and it was fast at 8.4 volts. Had no problem moving the Mt tires in grass or concrete. I bet a t300 would work really well at steering duty.

Just used the hotwire to set up the zero and end points...wow, now my end point and sub trim ocd can lay to rest! Brilliant.

To let me use the same servos in both cars, I picked up two T-300's for my ebuggy and etruggy. Steering is on point in both.

I'm currenly using a T250 (steering) on my nitro buggy and has been flawless.

T120

Just bought a T120. Can't wait to try it in my T4 18 on carpet once the indoor season starts. Love that the end points can be adjusted and the specs look amazing!

Can anyone advise if the Tekin servos have removable/replaceable connector wires like the ProTek's?

They aren't removable. They are hard wired to the board like most servos.

Here is how I set my steering up on my T4, it seemed to work for me and thought I'd share the info.

I fit my new T-120 and attached the servo saver, I checked all the linkage was correct then I set the servo arm at 90' to the chassis.
I set my steering EPA on the transmitter to 100% in each direction then plugged in the servo to the hotwire.
After attaching the setup system used for setting camber, caster and toe, I centered the steering and set the centre point on the servo.
I checked the front toe angle was correct in the centre position, 1' out on each side.
I set the endpoints on the servo by moving the steering to 24' on each side and noting the angle, then entered the values into the relevant boxes and hit save.
After programming was complete I plugged the servo back into the Rx and fired it up.
I noticed the steering was bang on in both directions but only at 21' so I upped the Steering EPA to 112 on each side.
I checked the steering angle again and exactly 24' in each direction.
BRILLIANT!

One thing I did notice was previously with my Savox 1252 servo the endpoint would differ by a few degrees if I moved the steering to full lock slowly or fast. With the Tekin it was bang on 24' every time, fast or slow.
I upped the BEC on the ESC from 6.0V to 7.4V and noticed the servo sounded different, more responsive and the speed was incredible!

I may have to get a second servo this thing is so good!

What servos would you guys recommend for 1/8 Nitro Buggy and electric Truggy\Buggy?

CBren32 09-25-2018 06:05 PM

Wow, I really want to try these servos in my Truggy...Would the T-300 and T-250 be good for a Truggy or overkill? I want good response times and torque, sparing no expense...between this and HiTec, not to sure.

Tekin Prez 09-26-2018 11:19 AM

Our general intent was the T250 for buggy and the T300 for Truggy. People have different preferences and many feel they are more consistent with a little slower servo so they are using T300 in buggy and T360 in Truggy. They are programable so you can slow them down a little to dial in what works for you.

I have the t300 in my ebuggy, purely AMAZING!

Mickey_B 10-09-2018 05:53 PM

Should I use the rubber grommets when mounting these servos in my nitro buggy? I see several of the pros are not using them.
