Why is thier no video of someone install and setting up new tekin servo? Was the software update yet?
It's pretty self explanatory my friend.

Wire with white line is signal.

Why do you need a video of someone installing a servo? There isn't anything special, you screw in 4 screws, set the servo horn and bolt it down. Until the software update is done for the programmer, there isn't any software setup. They just work good out of the box.

Any update on when the hotwire update is dropping? Can't wait to set epa through the servo instead of the radio.

Did you update your Hotwire with this new software? It's required moving forward and you would have noticed a prompt for it.

You cannot use an android device to program the servo, they do not provide enough power.

yes I updated, Doing so on my PC I have 2 Icons one for HotWire (2) and HotWire Servo.

This time I was prompt to update hotwire. I was able to view settings now. I need a video of use and setting description before making changes.

Yes it should work on the Hotwire 1.0

Yes we are tracking servo usage for potentially upcoming features, etc. The only thing required to get the code is your email, feel free to spoof the name if you are uncomfortable.

We are trying to engage our customers as directly as we can. For example we could have you send us your servo info via the link in a future feature. This could help with diagnostic info, etc. Just one of the many ideas on the table.

This will only work if you have updated the HotWire to a version that works with the Servo software. Downloading this without first updating the HotWire will not make any of them talk to the servos. There will be an official version up soon.

I need to play with my 1.0. I have the newest tekin hotwire, and the servo program installed, however I cant get the hotwire to talk to the servo. It hangs up at connecting to servo.

The hotwire has 1 green light, and 2 red lights. Farthest right light blinks about every second.

While I appreciate what your doing, personally I'm not a fan of forced registration for product use.

I suggest anyone that wants to use the software but not give email info use a email generator to get your registration code.

Did the HW GUI update the link unit ?

The portal window shows the version that is in the link unit. It should say V. 2012 on the left side after it is updated to work with the servos. It will say V.2007 if it is not updated. Portal window is the small window that comes up when you start the program without a esc connected.

The portal window also should show 12.44.6 when you hit the help button. If it still shows 12.40.3 we may be dealing with the Windows virtual store issue that we can explain in more detail.

FYI You to download the HW file from our website again. The 12.44.6 version you have if you downloaded it in the last few days had a small bug when updating the RSX units. A new version was posted today.

We have not promoted this new HW version yet because there will be another update shortly with new versions for the ESC's Some exciting new features are coming !!!

The current version is only posted so those that have bought a servo have access to the servo GUI.

There are some technical and process reasons we decided to do this with the Servo GUI...

The servo GUI needs to have access to the internet the first time it is used to download the list of servos it can talk to. By asking you to sign up and receive an email to activate we know you have internet access when you do the install.

From then on you do not need internet access to use the Servo GUI to make settings changes.

You do need internet access to update the software in the servo if needed.

It also gives us a way to contact those who have bought a servo directly in case we have important information to pass on like updates being available.

We have no intentions of spamming you with advertising emails. Hopefully this small inconvenience is not really that big of an issue and is just a good way for us to be able to support our customers better.

I have to give it up to Tekin for forward progress! For those of us that are tech geeks, I have to say I love the servo GUI and the tuneability it gives the end user!

Super simple process to get the HW updated, software downloaded and get everything communicating with the servos.

BTW, over 2 hours run time (3 hours powered on time) on my T-180 in my Tekno EB410 and not one issue. Smooth, strong and sexy!

I haven't been as excited about a servo in a long time. Just ordered the T-180 for my EB410.

Did you used the servo arm provided with the servo or the Tekno one?
