Don't remember if anyone in the SC 17.5 A Main was using 6R. Dakotah Phend used the 6R to win Modified Truck ROAR Title.
looking forward to seeing what is coming!

I see this radio is back in stock again....... Are all the bugs worked out now (like the you tube issue) and did they fix the SD card flap on the front of the radio?

Yes, bugs have been worked out quite a while. The SD card covers are better. In all honesty if you use the SD/USB ports as much as I do - for charging and to run my esc app. Its easier to just take it off.

Good to hear! I had one before all the bugs got worked out thinking about giving it another shot. Amain said the 6R was being discontinued, any truth to it being discontinued or updated?

Default Steering monitoring

Even after recalibration my steering monitoring is it positive 18 does this mean I’m not getting equal throw from my steering inputs from full left to full right

Its been a while since I did the re calibration but it seems like it had 3 Items that needed calibrating or it didn't "hold", Throttle, steering and if I remember correctly the knob on the side.

Check your settings. Make sure sub trim is zero, Make sure your Travel left and right is at 100. Go to Calibration step. You have to move the wheel both directions, throttle forward and back and the knob to each side ending at center (the beep). Then save the settings. You have to save the settings after you do it.

Is the dx6r able to do telemetry on nitro engines "RPM" like the dx5r? How about lap times with the spektrum lap counter system?

Yes, you should be able to use the SPM9569 RPM sensor and bracket as long as it mounts on the engine. The telemetry functions are the same between the 5Pro/5R and 6R. The lap timer was done just for the DX5R and overall the lap timer project fizzled out before we event went to program it to the 6R. It may be a little down the road, but I have some other cool ideas for lap timing on the 6R. We are not done developing ideas and concepts for the 6R.

Awesome, thanks for the heads up. It's nice to know lap times when there's no timing system setup. Can't wait to see what's in store for the dx6r.

I am having difficulty getting my DX6R to bind with radios and still have a reverse option. I had to bind my radio to a SRS6000 receiver about 5 times before it would give me reverse. I am really wondering if I can change the reverse setting, once a model is programmed, without rebinding the model to the radio. I am a "basher" now as I have not driven for 5-years and have only flown planes and helis. I am used to the iX12 which can reconfigure models quite easily (on the ground) with a few simple steps. Guess my iX12 spoiled me! I do like how you can update this radio using WiFi.

Remember if you are using the SRS6000 receiver, if you are using it in AVC mode, you also need to do the AVC calibration steps. Otherwise it may not give you correct operation.

The receiver came with an RTR model so there are no instructions for calibration only what proper functionality looks like in terms of vehicle movement. I chose to run it without AVC so I can bind and actually drive it. Are the AVC receivers "tuned" for each model like the AS3X receivers are for different planes?

I believe it is a programming glitch since I changed out the receiver for a SR310 and still had the same issues. After rebooting my transmitter twice, I was finally able to bind properly. Sure this will be fixed during the next update.
