For you guys running 17.5T stock buggy, 2wd, for the V2 motors what temps do you like to stay around assuming the stock rotor?

I assume that you discharge them at the end of the day. Right?

On the MMAX pro can someone explain overboost better than the manual. It states " This is an intelligent boost function that enables you to get the maximum performance from your Maclan system when running with turbo/boost. Overboost monitors the motors current RPM, timing level and load and constantly adjusts the boost level to maximize power output at all RPM and track positions."

So I assume I have to have predefined boost and turbo settings before it does anything? Then I am guessing it works within those parameters to keep things in the sweet spot WRT timing. So say I have 30 degrees boost coming in it at 5000 RPM and say 50 degrees of turbo at WOT. What will it actually do within those parameters?

I would also have figured it would be an on or off function, but there are 10 different levels of overboost... What do they do?

Noticed something that i hope helps others.

At todays races I had an odd issue with my pico coming off of a large jump that it would just cut out, no power to motor. power cycle and it would start up or sometimes would start up. This was with the new software which did work at the other indoor track before.

after working on it awhile I ended up just getting a rapidly blinking red light no matter what i did. No instructions in the manual as to what this does.

So I ended up having a buddy flash the software version on the ESC again to the latest version (which was already on it), and tried it again. this time I noticed that the receiver lead wire was getting pinched on the chassis slap from the jump due to how it was located by the motor mount (more on that on the tekno eb410 area). So, if you find you are getting a weird cutoff, check that your lead wire is not being pinched in anyway.

The maclan V2 17.5T motor has great grunt, very happy with it. The Maclan 5.5T MMR I ran was excellent too, more power unfortunately than my EB410 could handle lol. Will work on that spur next.

I couldn't get mine to connect when I was using the supplied USB cable either. It worked straight away when I used a different USB cable i had laying around though..

buddy of mine had to fight a bit with his to get his to connect, when I was having issues this weekend and wanted to flash the software on the esc it fought with me to have it detect.

One thing though, it could be you need to wait quite a bit for it to "show up". That was one thing we saw that weekend. Its a slick little looking app though.

On some Android devices, it takes a little bit (like 2 minutes) for the connection to be processed by the Android operating system. Especially the first time. It will also (sometimes) ask you if you want to use this as a default connection. My experience is if you say yes, it connects little quicker the next time. But each android device is little different depending on how the mfg has it programmed.

nikos2002: good info.

Can you elaborate a bit more on that TSS system and how to properly use it?

I would recalibrate you radio and esc. Make sure epa on radio is set to 100. The default for the pico is 100% brake. Mine has great brakes
