any solder bridge will cause damage to the ESC, make sure there is no solder where there shouldn’t be.

when you check for any solder bleeding into the other tab open up the motor to see if it went on any of the tab areas you can't easily see.

Thank you again for the info guys. I did open up the motor and there was some solder inside which I cleaned up.

I will finish working on the car tonight so I can run it on Saturday.

Anyone got some recent suggestions on FDR and timing ranges to start with on a 2wd buggy 17.5 blinky class I am all ears for the V2 Maclan. this will be running on primarily.

Going to do some testing this weekend, nothing serious but will see how the new software works relative to the using reverse issue. Will be running in sensored mode though. This will be on a Pico.

Im currently at 6.68 fdr with 49 degrees of timing on my v2 uht rotor and aluminum hardware with a fan on a small indoor track but I would say I'm about half way optimized. I think I started at 46-47 degree's around a 6 FDR out of the box and worked from there.

Anybody have their sensor port on their Max Pro ESC break off?
Had it for about a month and really like it but a bummer it broke already. Sent it in today and now just have to wait, since don't have another ESC...

Thanks for the info on the motor. I went with 48 degrees timing in a Tekno EB210 2wd buggy conversion:

I am going to run a fan too as i like the power delivery but will shoot for a bit cooler temp.

In off road, you never can tell. All I can say is leave a little slack on the sensor cable and clean the pad where you plan on sticking the the esc down with motor spray so the double sided tape stick good. Im guessing during a wreck, your esc came undone and pulled on the sensor port.

some news on the reverse issues reported. With the latest software so far I haven't seen any cutout like before, running sensored mode.

Now, I need to try it at a larger track where I saw the cutout issue a lot.

The one thing I found odd in comparison to other ESCs in how they do reverse is that when you go into reverse, it gets the car to stop moving you had to basically treat the FWD direction like a linear "brake". It took some getting used to as when going then to FWD you would need to do a FWD pull again after using FWD to stop the car.

So the flow is like this:

FWD -> BRK -> STOP -> REV -> FWD (to get it to stop, linear response here) -> STOP -> FWD (to get car moving again)

I am thinking the main difference is on other systems when you hit forward while in reverse it goes to FWD right away and there seems to be more of a drag brake effect while in reverse when you left off reverse.

The maclan way may be a safer way to do it, just feels odd. Be nice if it could be a option to select how that response is setup.

I clean it before I stick it down with double sided tape and it didn't move and some slack in the cable.

Hi guys, it's the newbie again. Wanted to know if you can run your LIPO battery for 5-10 minutes, give it some rest and recharge it again 2-3 times in one day. I have a Maclan 6400 2s battery and two other batteries that I can use. Is there such a thing as overusing the battery and it becomes weaker? Should I at least save one good battery and only use it once a day for future races? Like to hear from people here. Thanks

you shouldn’t have any issues doing that. I do it with mine all the time and my batteries are over 1 year old and still work perfectly
