Without making it too complicated to explain.. issue is not found in all Pico units. Which makes it more "fun" for us to work with. Its not every unit, but I am happy that those that had the issue let us know and let us work to help them. I run off the shelf units like everyone else has... and have not experienced an issue with the 3 I have.

Yeah I figure maybe a run of them. I got 2 Picos and other that inconsistent reverse issue which I am hoping you will have fixed via a software update they have worked quite well.

The brakes on my speedo are non existent. TC 13.5 geared 5.2. Maclan V2 motor. Even with frequency down to 600 there's basically nothing at the end of the straight into a hairpin. Cost me 3/10 per lap. I'm not the only one either.

Throttle is very smooth and progressive. Build quality the best of the lot. Programming through android phone is super easy, fast and bug free. So many good ideas here, nearly there but not yet. Sad but it lives in the pit box.

Its is not a "run" of them. From the same production batch, high majority work with no issues, few rotten apples. If you are unlucky to have and issue, with any of our products. Let us know - there is always a way to help.

You got any software in the pipe to test for the reverse issue? If so I'd be happy to give it a try since I can replicate it on the hardware I saw it happen.

Most users report better braking than others on market.

Are you positive that the esc itself is showing indication of full brake (solid orange when at full brake) and that your radio does not have any kind of ABS or brake pulsing enabled?

I won’t say I’ve never done it myself

Had the same issue as most of these guys, was fixed very quickly. Postage took longer than the repair! Maclan's service is on point IMO.

I'm relatively new to racing so this may be a dumb question but I'm looking at the Pico and V2 motor combo. Just to clarify, the Pico is basically a stock esc and doesn't have boost/turbo settings. Is this correct?

Does the mmax pro need an update before being smartphone compatible?

Depends on what firmware is on your Mmax Pro. New units bought directly from Maclan should have the latest firmware.

Make sure you have the supplied cable micro usb plugged into the ESC. One would think that using the female USB to micro USB adapter with the supplied USB to micro USB would be ok to use either way since there’s a micro USB plug at each end of the assembled cable. Well I found that it has to have the supplied cables micro USB plug going into the ESC.
