I think stormer hobbies has the exotek stuff too. Or you could find a computer.

If I'm following correctly it appears to require an upgrade board, and be set with a blue flashing light? Here is the approval list.

I'm surprised no one has mentioned the high discharge high charge factor. Putting heat into the battery is also a big difference in power for stock racing.
I had both, 2 D3.5s and a killshot. The D3.5 is way way faster. I could pop wheelies, the killshot was anaemic in comparison. Still faster than a tekin gen2 17.5 though.

For R1Wurks,

http://www.r1wurks.com/category.php?id_category=21 they got it, tq got it, mine was from reflex racing. Until the D4 (legal I presume), I think the R1 is the fastest legal motor out there.

Yeah me too. That and the cut diff gears may only be meant for the buggy. In the SC10 I would think you would burst the idler gear and at least spin out all the time.

Default MIP Pucks

BTW, talking about 17.5 stock class I just got done assembling the MIP puck package for the SC10 and I'm very impressed with the quality and noticeable reduction in rotating mass. I used some of MIP and B-Fast diff components to get it together but this drive train is supper light and smooth.

Some cut the width of the idler gear and diff gear narrower lighting them and decreasing the surface area thus decreasing friction.

It saves an additional two grams and reduces friction in the transmission by 50%. That is what im told anyways. Ive heard people using both the eliminator and the cuts gears and not having any problems. However if you newer to offroad and dont know much about slippers/diffs ill stick with the avid until I get it figured out.

I would just like to mention that while it does reduce rotational mass and decrease friction, it does INCREASE the load on a smaller area. Since the force is the same (same motor) but the surface area of the gears is smaller, you are putting the load on a more concentrated area.

You would be more likely to blow diff gears or idler gears if you cut them down. If you combine cut gears and a slipper eliminator you will likely see premature failure of some of the internal parts.

but if it lasts through the main and they win, it was worth it...one of the reasons i hate stock racing

I'm new to go fast rc (been crawling for years) and I'm thinking of getting a fantom apex v2 for stock sct racing. Anyone have experience with them? Also thinking about the trinity killshot certified.

Figured so , wouldnt mind a pic if anyone has to see how much is taken off , not that I will bother . Have some state title events in the coming months and will look at pucks ,alu cvds topshaft shorten wiring and see if I can tell the difference with my 22 2.0 . At club level it does fine and I have never really experienced these stock rockets some speak of . I am running an old trinity d3 hobbywing speedy and nanotech shorties and seems on par with anything else out there

I have one, and results are mixed. I like the feel of a slipper more, even on a high bite track. Take this with a grain of salt . . this is mid motor losi 22 2.0 at ocrc, and lrh. Both locations indoor clay, high bite. I just felt more consistent and comfortable with the slipper, and I did not have that much of a performance increase from the eliminator. If you can find some smaller spurs you might have some more options I was geared 72/30 I believe.

Keep in mind I use the AVID triad slipper so it is still lighter than stock, using pucks and ceramic bearings also; so maybe it helps a little but was not noticeable since I have already significantly lightened everything.

I run Speedy's Racing Parts eliminator on my Pro-Line Pro-2 and had the eliminator and cut gears on my B4.2. I've had zero issues with failure. His stuff works great.
